TOWN OF LANSING PLANNING BOARD
• Date : Nov . 24 , 1986

Absent : L . Sharpsteen , V . Miller , H . Beckwith
I . Cal Swayze - minor revision of north lot line of lot I was reviewed .
II . 7 : 45 - Public Hearing on Olsefsky proposed minor subdivision on Cherry Rd .
III . 8 : 15 - Public Hearing on Shulman - Lieberman proposed minor subdivision on
Cayuga Lake , off Esty Hill , Rt . 34 .
No members of the public were present to speak against the proposed subdivisions .
IV . Discussion - Shulman - Lieberman subdivision .
A . The following Planning Board concerns have been addressed :
1 . a new map resolves previous discrepancies and is expanded to 4 lots ,
2 . State Highway Commission has given permission to exit onto highway ,
• 3 . a letter from J . Anderson , Health Depart . , states that septic systems
suitable to the terrain will be designed ,
4 . they expect to form their own water district .
MOTION : F . Ramin moved that the Planning Board conditionally approve the
Shulman - Lieberman subdivision on Cayuga Lake provided the following
conditions are met :
1 . a right - of -way must be provided to lot A - 1 ,
2 . adequate turnarounds must be provided for each residence ,
3 . culverts must be sized and indicated on the map ,
4 . documents of approval of the water district must be filed with
the Planning Board .
DISCUSSION : site develpment concerns .
AMENDMENT : The Board wishes to express its concern about the fragility of
special terrain features at that site with the hope that the
developers will take these into consideration as development
proceeds .
• Motion carried unanimously .

V . Discussion - Olsefsky
MOTION : F . Ramin moved , with a second by C . Kammen , that the Olsefsky 3 lot
minor subdivision on Cherry Rd . be approved with the condition that a
linen map be submitted showing both this subdivision and the one - lot
subdivision approved Nov . 11 , 1986 . Mr . Olsefsky now has applied for
and received approval for 2 minor subdivisions .
Carried unanimously .
VI . Orear Subdivision
Discussion . A councilperson had espressed concern with the possible future
development to the north and how it connects with this development .
V . Town Board Meetings -
It was suggested that in order to form a stronger bond of mutual understanding
between the Town and Planning Boards , that a member of the Planning Board attend
• each regular Town Board meeting . Attendance would be on a rotating schedule so
each member would go only 1 - 2 times per year .

C . Kammen suggested we adopt a policy of notifying all parties by mail of
Planning Board actions .
