Dear Sirs : A concern at Woodsedge has been the excessive speed , especially of trucks , on Woodsedge Drive . At our Lansing Authority meeting last night I was asked to appeal to you for help in creating a " Speed Limit " zone in this arein accordance with State regulations . \! Thanks for your co ® ®peration . Sincerely , Blanche H . Drake , Sec . Lansing Housing Authority r 4 4 . (f / —...1111111111 This petition for no change in the Zoning Ordinance - a protest of the proposed amendments - is presented to the Lansing Town Board under Section 263 of Town Law of New York State and 1904 of the Lansing Land Use Ordinance which state in part that M a protest against such change signed by owners of 20 per cent or more of the area of land included in such proposed change$ . ( ) , such amendment shall not become effective except by a favorable vote of at least four members of the Board . In acquiring these signatures the purpose was two fold . 1 . _ To so simply define public opinion in this regard thatthe Town Board Members would be aware of it and therefore act in the public interest . 2 . To so define the wishes of the people of the zoned portion of Lansing that if the members chose to override the protesS by a favorable vote of at least four members - for whatever reason - that this would be made very clear . aje It is our earnest hope that the Board will act in the public interest in this matter and make no change in the ordinance at. ...a this time . Note - - Although most significant proposed changes occur in Comm - ercial and Industrial Zones it is believed that proposed changes in Sect . 1302 and 1303 affect residential zones as well in regard to beta the right of% appeal of approval or disapproval of Permits in Spec - ial Permits and under Special Conditions . Therefore signatures Ststo evr i Q 0Co Mab tear , o °Mpeat 014 az etathee 6 were acquired in all zones . We submit that 20 per cent of the area of land in the zoned portion is represented by the following } tc ® signatures . S=Th il , % 4' 1 i . N) . KloThoirli 6 et- -rip ,- / enci 1 w - .
