Hardie Absent : , R . Briggs , S . Cleveland , T . Kick I . . Minutes of previous meeting June - 14 , 1982 . . MOTION : h . Ley moved that the minutes of June 14 , 1982 be approved , L . Montague seconded , carried unanimously . II : . Officers ' Reports E. Ley �- Corresponding Secretary - A letter has been sent to the members of . the Town Board and the Board of Zoning Appeals inviting them to a joint session with the Planning Board on July 20 , 1982 at 8 : 00 P . M . III « Committee Reports La, Montage 7 Subdivisions - L :. Montague reported that John Bedicheck contacted hil about the property he owns in the Finkledey subdivision . He is interested in dividing the ten acres . L . Montague gave him a copy of the minor subdivision regulations to read and will gfl . .back to him on this . He also advised Mr . Bedicheck to contact the County Health Department . Arno Finkledey Subdivision - L . Montague reported that Mr . Finkledey promised to have the road completed with in a year . L . Hirvonen questioned whether the Town would accept the road because of the grade . V . Miller wanted to know where the Town stands legally on dividing subdivision lots into smaller ones . L . Montague noted that the Town never required deed restrictions before but the lots still need a 200 ' circle within to comply with the County Health Board regulations . -. D . Hardie thought that possibly when sewers and water come in. , using Alex Cima ' s subdivision for an example , the only way people could afford to live there - would be to subdivide the lots and put a home between two ' . formerly large lots . V . Miller felt that when people buy into a major subdivision with the idea that they want large. lots , not cut up into smaller ones , they should be talked to first . L . Montague will contact Mr . Bedicheck and ask him to come to the August meeting . He will call T . Niederkorn for technical advice on this matter . L . Montague will also ask Alex Cima to attend a future meeting . MOTION : D . Hardie made the motion that L . Montague con- tact T . Niederkorn for technical assistance with regard to Mr . John Bedicheck ' s proposal . and that L . Montague will invite Mr . Bedicheck to the August 9th meeting . L . Hirvonen seconded , carried unanimously . - 1 - • -. IV .) Payment of bills V . Miller reported that she submitted the bill from T . Niederkorn to the Town Board for payment , in the absence of T . Kick . MOTION : L . Hirvonen moved that the payment of T . Niederkorn ' s bill be approved so as to keep his account up to date . D . Hardie . seconded , carried unanimously . MOTION : L . Hirvonen moved that the bill from Wordpro for 341 . 11 for copies of the Master Plan be approved . H . Ley seconded , carried unanimously . : MOTION : L . Hirvonen moved that the secretary ' s fees and expenses of $ 119. 93 be approved . H . Ley seconded , carried unanimously . V . Joint session of the Town Board , Board of Zoning Appeals and Planning Boar V . Millet : reminded all those present that the meeting has been set for July 20th and she would appreciate everyone ' s attendance . T . Niederkorn will be there to go over the pertinent things, and answer any questions that might come up and see where to go from there. ... She w ' 11 ask R . Brig to chair that meeting S, (26k--7 VI ., Area Wide Planning Issues - 1982-1953 The membors present went over the list submitted by V . Miller in last month ' s minutes . They noted their priorities . County PlanninLevel - D . Hardie noted that technical help is available but hat it doesn ' t always cover everything . V . Miller will contact Frank Liguori about that . D . Hardie questioned whether it would be a good idea to have someone from the county on . the Lansing Planning Board . V . Miller said that when the Town Board is ' finished with the Master Plan it is sent to the County and also to the Village of Lansing and the towns of Genoa , Dryden and Groton . Transportation. - public transportation on a county level has been improved . Lansing seems to have no great need for public trans - p® rtation. , V . Miller reported . She also told the members that the ' possibility of using school buses to take students to and from TC- ) would need dispensation from the legislature . Warren Road - V . Miller felt that the new road curves were very dangerous and that a blinker was needed by the stop sign . There are also two blind driveways opening onto the road . County roads - D . Hardie felt that the county roads were not in. fod shape . L . Hirvonen said that the road . lines are always shiney in the summer but by Spring , when really needed , are faded . Route 1 ) improvements - should be continued . fib lor County-wide historical preservation program - D . Hardie felt that it would be a good idea to have a coordinating group for all of the local historians . Energy - hydro power - not practical at this time . - 2 - ; tom VII .` Master Plan Gam. L . Hirvonen passed out copies of the newly printed to each member present . C . Montague will take copies to R . Briggs , S . Cleveland and T . Kick . V . Miller would like each member to be familiar with this prior to the joint session . L . Hirvonen noted the lack of maps in the ster-Pan and V . Miller will contact T . -Niederkorn about this -3-ern-f---;t The question of having neighborhood meetings was discussed and it was decided that it was not a good idea as it could show preference - to one group over another ..
