III « Committee Reports
La, Montage 7 Subdivisions - L :. Montague reported that John
Bedicheck contacted hil about the property he owns in
the Finkledey subdivision . He is interested in
dividing the ten acres . L . Montague gave him a copy
of the minor subdivision regulations to read and will
gfl . .back to him on this . He also advised Mr . Bedicheck
to contact the County Health Department .
Arno Finkledey Subdivision - L . Montague reported that
Mr . Finkledey promised to have the road completed with
in a year . L . Hirvonen questioned whether the Town
would accept the road because of the grade .
V . Miller wanted to know where the Town stands legally
on dividing subdivision lots into smaller ones . L .
Montague noted that the Town never required deed
restrictions before but the lots still need a 200 '
circle within to comply with the County Health Board
regulations .
-. D . Hardie thought that possibly when sewers and water
come in. , using Alex Cima ' s subdivision for an example ,
the only way people could afford to live there - would
be to subdivide the lots and put a home between two
' .
formerly large lots . V . Miller felt that when people
buy into a major subdivision with the idea that they
want large. lots , not cut up into smaller ones , they
should be talked to first .
L . Montague will contact Mr . Bedicheck and ask him to
come to the August meeting . He will call T . Niederkorn
for technical advice on this matter . L . Montague will
also ask Alex Cima to attend a future meeting .
MOTION : D . Hardie made the motion that L . Montague con-
tact T . Niederkorn for technical assistance

to the August 9th meeting . L . Hirvonen seconded ,

The membors present went over the list submitted by V . Miller in
last month ' s minutes . They noted their priorities .
County PlanninLevel - D . Hardie noted that technical help is
available but hat it doesn ' t always cover everything . V . Miller
will contact Frank Liguori about that . D . Hardie questioned
whether it would be a good idea to have someone from the county
on . the Lansing Planning Board . V . Miller said that when the Town
Board is ' finished with the Master Plan it is sent to the County
and also to the Village of Lansing and the towns of Genoa ,
Dryden and Groton .
Transportation. - public transportation on a county level has been
improved . Lansing seems to have no great need for public trans -
p® rtation. , V . Miller reported . She also told the members that
the ' possibility of using school buses to take students to and from
TC- ) would need dispensation from the legislature .
Warren Road - V . Miller felt that the new road curves were very
dangerous and that a blinker was needed by the stop sign . There
are also two blind driveways opening onto the road .
County roads - D . Hardie felt that the county roads were not in.
fod shape . L . Hirvonen said that the road . lines are always
shiney in the summer but by Spring , when really needed , are faded .
Route 1 ) improvements - should be continued .
fib
lor County-wide historical preservation program - D . Hardie felt that
it would be a good idea to have a coordinating group for all of

The question of having neighborhood meetings was discussed and it
