T . Niederkorn - Land Use Management Plan - continued .
L . : Hirvonen said that there is a possibility of more commercial
development near the present shopping center on Fast Shore Drive .
A discussion. followed on extending the commercial zone in that
area . T . Niederkorn cautioned the members on excluding things in
a district as a tough Board of Zoning Appeals would not necessarily
grant variances .
MOTION : L . Hirvonen moved that changes be made on the map to
include a larger industrial zone in the airport area . T . Kick
seconded , carried unanimously .
•
T . Niederkorn then presented a 1980 map of North Lansing including
the Four Corners area , a wish bone effect . It was agreed that it
included enough non-agricultural land to show it as a low density
housing area .
A second map , East Lansing area particularly Searles Road which
included an area near a stream , a new road , two new homes , on the
north side a repair shop , east where the stream crosses again ,
NYSE& G ' s right -of -way then south , three new houses , a stream , then..
west to an abandoned railroad line could also be shown as a low
density housing area .
A third map showing Lansingville had many houses on it . - The NYSE& G
property on Ford Hill Road , a mobile home park , Kawasaki Cycle
Shop , old Robinson farm , all could be in a low density housing area .
The map showing Buck Road was determined to be mostly farming .
MOTION, : T . Kick moved that the three above mentioned sections ;
the Four Corners area , Searles Road and Lansingville be added to
the R- 1 districts in the noathern part of the Town of Lansing .
H . Ley seconded , carried unanimously .
T . Niederkorn then went over the activity list sent out with the
February 8 , 1982 minutes and the following decisions were made :
601 . 1 - Orchards and vineyards are included under crop farming .
601 . 5 - The definition of commercial raising of livestock will be
included in the list of definitions .
6.01 . 11 - Put SP under commercial reference - must maintain corn
mercial integrity .
601 . 12 - Put SP under commercial - reference - must maintain com-
mercial integrity .
601 . 16. - Put SP under commercial .
601 . 20 - Change to SP all the way across . Planned development is
the same as Planned Unit Development .
Schedule II - Area and Size Requirements , Town of Lansing - was then
discussed and changes were made . See attached sheet .
