Miller9 due to a special meeting of the County Planning Board re : Rte . 96 L . Winter I . Report on demographic data for Master Plan - B . Bement A . Contact made with Roland Parks - computer operator , President , Fire Co . B . Fire Co . is compiling a new Lansing directory with the aid of Mr . Parks computer equipment . C . Could the computer equipment , given material from the assessor ' s office , chart trends and prepare other infor - mation of interest to the present work on the Master Plan ? D . Mr . Parks felt that with permission to use the infor - mation at the assessor ' s office and a description of the information the PB wants , his equipment could prepare the necessary printouts . II . Subdivision Rules and Regulations A . D . Hardie spoke with Town Attorney , R . Williamson , who felt the County Clerk would not be able to tell if there were subdivisions . • B . V . Miller spoke with County Clerk9 L . Grinnell , who said she could give us the information but that we should get a ruling on it from County Attorney , R . Williamson . C . H . Missirian , of the County Planning Depart . , offered to research the matter and see if the problem could be solved through the cooperation of other agencies . III . Maps - Guests : H . Missirian , D . Lewis , County Planning Depart . A . The CPD is preparing a map of all structures in Tompkins County , for which our maps will prove most useful . B . CPD has 2 men working full - time on preparation of Lansing material . C . Step I - compilation of acreage data . The CPD feels it will be helpful to know amount of acreage presently used for residential , agriculture , commercial , etc . D . Tax Base information will be compiled , sush as , what proportion of the tax base supports ag , residential etc . ? how have these proportions changed or will change ? who supports the services of the town ? etc . . E . Data compiled prior to the village formation will be ✓ elatively invalid for this study . F . CPD will prepare any visual or graphic data the PB feels n ecessary . G . The CPD projects that within a month their data should be all together , with visual aids available by Fall . H . The CPD will work with the PB to form a meaningful plan to present to the people of Lansing . - 1 • MAPS , COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENT , CONTINUED I . Mr . Missirian suggested that after the initial data is compiled and studied , the PB should : 10 determine if there ' s a trend 2 , determine the seriousness of the Town Boards intentions Jo Dryden and the Billage of Lansing send all their subdivision applications etc . , to the CPD for review . This service would also be available to the Town . K , The PB asked that the CPD make observations , suggestions , on what they see as they make their compilations . Lo Suggestions were made on how the PB might work toward a more positive working relationship with the Town Board : 1 . ask the TB to write up the duties of the Ordinance Officer for PB review 20 arrange to have a meeting in the CPD office with Mro Munson , D , Hardie and members of the CPD M . MOTION : With thanks to the 2 members of the CPD who reported on their current work , and with whom the PB arrived at a working schedule for the Master Plan project , it was moved , seconded and carried unanimously to have the County Planning Department move ahead in the direction they have expressed , continue with their studies , with a tentative time schedule as follows : 1 , initial presentation of data in July 2eupdated analysis in August 3 . complete presentation with graphics in September 40 tentative presentation to the Town Board to be • scheduled shortly thereafter So moved by H . Cogan , seconded by P , Wells , carried unanimously by the board . IV . Ordinance analysis A . The CPD will analyze our ordinances and present information and observations at the next regular PB meeting on July 10 , 178 Ba The PB would next like to meet with the Ordinance Officer and have him give his interpretations of the ordinances and his duties in relation to them at a specially scheduled meeting on July 24 , 1978 . Co The PB will then approach the Town Board in their role as employer and ask for a run- down on what they expect from their employee ( Ordm Offol V . Work Assignments- The recording secretary shall : A . Compile a folder of all Town Ordinances for : a , all members of PB 2 . County Planning Department B .
