A . Creation .
1 . chartered in 1970 by Tomp , Cty Board of Representatives ••
with a 9 member panel
2 . restructured in 1971 to include a coalition of
county groups
3 . in 1972 a 1 year extension granted
4 . in 1973 it went into . official limbo
B . Membership
1 . members appointed by County Board of Representatives
2 . charter states that there shall be not less than.
15 members nor more than 30 members -

1 . County Planning Board is advisory to Count Planning

1 . Is there input to the County Board of Representatives ?
Mr . Dates seems to think so .
2 . Could the County Planning Depart . provide background

material and assistance to local boards ?

Yes , to a certain extent .
3 . Could the County Planning Depart . provide a local
board with a resource person , professional advisor ?
It would be too costly to provide this service for
all the municipalities . They could provide someone
to assist in choosing such a person . In the ast ,
municipalities made contracts with the Planning Depart . •
E . General Discussion.
1 . Planning Board should bring matters they feel are
important to the attention of the Town Board and
the County Planning Board .
2 . In general , the Planning Boards function is conceptual ,
but it should also be involved in the " nuts and ..
bolts " aspect as a learning experience . It should
not be involved in enforcement .
3 . Mr . Dates suggested communicating with other

• municipalities and asking if they have the same feelings
of frustration in regard to the Cty . Planning Board .

Planning Board , reported that she is now serving on
that boards Rte . 96 committee . 11
IV . Election of Officers
This will be held at the beginning of the first meeting
in February . New officers will assume their," positions '
immediately .
V . Numbering on North Triphammer Road

A copy of the letter submitted by the Planning Beard to
the Town Board , 7 November 1977 , will be resent to
Phillip Munson , Town Supervisor in the hopes that this

B . The Town Board is reviewing the Subdivision Rules and
Regulations and will give the PB its comments at a
