( As with any new legislation , we are already revising the language to make it easier to work with . ) In accordance with the spirit of these regulations1 we would like to ask you to submit to the Planning Board . a sketch plan of any exist - ing subdivision you might have . The purpose of this request is to enable the Planning Board to build a good base of understanding of the subdivisions presently in existence in the town , and also to compile a complete listing of these subdivisions for future reference . It should be noted that any subdivision of land in the Town of Lansing outside the Village of Lansing , consisting of a parcel of less than 5 acres and 5001 of road frontage , falls under this regulation and 411 must be approved by the Planning Board before it can be recorded by the Tompkins County Clerk . In order to facilitate you. • in this matter , Mrs . Horky , Town Clerk , has copies of the up- to - date Subdivision Regulations and a flow chart of steps to take in order that a minimum of time will be required in preparation . You will find this extremely helpful if you are contemplating applying for subdivision permits in the future . If you have questions regarding the preparation of this material or a future application , please contact the town Ordinance Officer • • 2 • who will be happy to help you and will be your liason with the Board . In the future , he will check all applications and then schedule an appearance before the Planning Board . We ask your indulgence in this matter in the interest of a better town for all of us and pledge ourselves to make every effort possible to accomodate your plans . Sincerely Yours etc . . . . . . . . . i •
