Roscoe , D . Hardie I . PUBLIC HEARING : O ' REAR SUB - DIVISION A . Legal notice - On 21 July 1975 , a legal notice appeared in the Ithaca Journal , the official newspaper for the Town of Lansing , concerning the O ' Rear sub - division . This notice was read by Mrs . Miller . B . Map - Notice was made that the map had been updated to conform with suggestions made at the previous meeting . C . Health Depart . - Oral confirmation of approval of all lots was given , with written approval to follow . D . Discussion of the suggestions made at the last meeting and their solutions followed . Those suggestions not already solved will be included in the surveyors drawing submitted with the final plat . In particular , the easement to the south , to the Butler property , was discussed , with flexibility for the future in mind . E . Public Hearing was closed at 8 : 25 P . M . - Due to the fact that no members of the public were present , it was assumed that there were no objections . F . MOTION : It was moved to give preliminary approval to the O ' Rear sub - division , subject to when the final pirs survey is submitted . Motion made by B . Bement , seconded by L. Winter , carried unanimously . II . Zoning Officer - N . Stanton A . Sign request - Tom Todd - Fresh Eggs - 4 ' X 4 ' 1 . residence , business - 847 Davis Rd . , Lansing 2 . 2 signs requested , located at : a . corner Rte . 34B and Fenner Rd . b . corner Fenner Rd . and Davis Rd . 3 . Oral approval by respective landowners given . 4 . Sign ordinance states that a sign should be on the premise that is advertised , a regulation Mr . Todd does not meet . 5 . A precedent was set in the Pyramid case concerning this same regulation . 6 . MOTION : It was moved to deny the request on the ground that it doesn ' t comply with the ordinance . Moved by L . Roscoe , seconded by D . Hardie , carried by the board . B . Discussion related to this situation followed on how to urge greater compliance with the various ordinances . 1 . MOTION : F . Edmondson moved to have the Zoning Officer and the secretary of the Planning Board • work together on a form letter to be sent to parties who have not complied with the sign ordinance , • along with a copy of the ordinance , and that said p proposal should be presented to the Town Board for their approval . Seconded by L . Roscoe , carried by the board . 2 : It was suggested that this proposal be sent to the Town Board in the form of correspondence . C . Sign request - Carlton Smith , Lansing Plaza , Lansing General Insurance . 1 . Sign to go on building , 59 X 3i • ; using existing lights , conforms to ordinance . 2 . MOTION : It was moved by B . Bement to accept the request , seconded by F . Edmondson , carried by the board . 3 . A sign of the same size was requested for the free standing sign stand along Rte . 34 . 4 . MOTION : F . Edmondson moved to deny this request since it falls in the right of way and therefore does not comply with the ordinance . Seconded by B : Bement , carried by the board : III . Other Business A . The plans for the next regular meeting were changed as follows ; Members of the board will meet at D . Hardie • s at 6 : 30 for the tour , and a short meeting will follow at the Hardie residence . B : The first draft of the Chart of Procedure for sub - division regulations was submitted by N : Stanton for additions and/or corrections by the board . Meeting adjourned : 9 : 10 P . M . 4111 41, •
