TOWN OF LANSING PLANNING BOARD
Date : 23 June 1975
Time : 7 : 55 P . M .
Present : V . Mil. ler , B . Bement , D . Hardie , S . Baughman , L . Roscoe ,
F . Edmondson , L . Winter.
I . Minutes - appr. ovalof the minutes for the regular meeting ,
9 June 1975 was tabled until the next meeting .
IT . Mr . O ' Rear. - sub - division
A . Road - 1600 ' road , 60 ' wide
i . 'Mr. . O ' Rear contacted S . Schmidt , mayor of the village ,
concerning the 200 ' of road within the village . His
comments were :
a . The village would not accept any responsibility
for the road .
b . He would support Mr . O ' Rear in any other way
possible .
c . Encouraged Mr . O ' Rear to deed the entire road to
the Town of Lansing .
2 . The O ' Rears are willing to grant easements south , to
the Butler property , and /or north to the Hicks property .
a . Thus , in a drawing with 4 lots and easements , it
would become a minor sub - division .
b . Thus , it would not be a permanent dead end road .
c . The O ' Rears are willing to accept the cost of roads
constructed on above mentioned easements .
3 . The Planning Board requested more survey data on the
road and lots , necessary in any case for a minor sub -
division .
B . Water - town attorney , B . Williamson drew up an amend -
ment to the O ' Rears original water contract , that will
include 4 lots . This will be submitted to the Town
Board at their regular meeting 8 July 1975 .
C . Mr . O ' Rear will be advised to submit his sketch plan to
the Town Clerk .
D . With the approval of the Town Board , a public hearing will
be scheduled for 14 July 1975 at 8 : 30 .
III . Mre l) . Condon - sub - division
A . Members of the Planning Board walked the area and found
e verything to be in order .
B . The Health Depart . tests ( per. c & 7 ' hole ) were completed
and approval given on Buck Rd . property .
C . The board was in agreement that Mr . Congdon ' s parcels
did not close off the area to future development .
D . Mr . Congdon and the board agreed that with the elimination
o f one lot , as yet unpurchased , Mr . Congdon ' s 4 parcels
o f land would be treated as 4 minor sub - divisions .
• F . Mr . Congdon will submit his Preliminary Plat to the Town
Clerk , and with the approval of the Town Board , a public

hearing will be held on 14 July 1975 at 8 : 30 P . M .

F . In relation to the above discussion :
1 . The secretary was instructed to contact Mr .
Neiderkorn , and. Mr . Williamson for their respective
o pinions on the phraseology of the sub - division
✓ egulations relative to large parcels .
2 . N . Stanton will draw up a Chart of Procedure for
sub - divisions for discussion by the board .
IV . Mans - L . Roscoe
A . A student has been employed to work on the maps for
between 2 and 4 weeks , depending on the amount of work
involved .
B . The 400 scale base map was found to be too large for wall
mounting .
C . A 1. 000 scale base map was located and found to be more
suitable .
D . Suggested map detail :
1 . major road arteries -
2 . residential , commercial and public land uses , plus
buildings , in zoning colors
3 . special land uses
4 . natural preserve areas as suggested by Mr . Neiderkorn
5 . other areas , specifically agricultural and isolated
homes and farms will remain white
E . The Town Board will be approached concerning wall place -
ment of the map .
