HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-04-22 LANSING PiANNING BOARD M ETING • April 22., 19714 Present : Messrs Roscoe , Hardie , J . Johnson , N . Stanton , F . Edmondson and Mrs . Miller and Winter . Meeting began at q. : LOPM Stan Goldberg presented final plans for Bishop ' s hardware store . A role call of all present was made and all voted to approve plans . Bob Williamson presented plans for Security Mutual Fire Insurt ce Building -which has been moved further back from Triphanntr . It is now 100 feet back . He also requested variance f or : a ) 30 parking spaces because they will have only 214 employees . ( size of building is reason zoning ordinance requested 61i ) b ) for parking on Tripland Terrace site ( since that is also front of building ) He also requested that the Planning Board recommend variance to Zoning Board of Appeals . He hopes to come back for approval in June . The Planning Board suggested that Security Mutual present plans for landscaping in detail . 4 A motion was made by Mr . Hardie that the Board approve the plans presented with variance for parking location and number of cars , and that the east entrance on Tripland Terrace be retained since this back exit is needed to allow for stacking . The motion was seconded by Mr . Roscoe and a unanimous " yes " vote was taken . It was also noted that Board must question lighting facilities . Mr . Edmondson made a report on the overpass : there will be a site inspection to look over solution to overpass and Triphammer entrances . Environmental Committee for Interchange : beautification programs for landscaping have drawn up Mans for arda beautification in overpass area . No overhead wires in area of interchange . The Board would like to get NYSEG to put wires underground by Holiday Inn . • Mr . Stanton reported that he will send registered letter to Aged P reminding them of obligation to pave and landscape . by 1st of June or no Certificate of Occupancy will be issued . 2 Ordinance Discussion • Board discussed changes in Mobile Park Ordinance . What is a permanent foundation? Mr . Edmondson suggested the Board refer to TrioCounty Report on Mobile Homes . Board agreed to change p . 32 of Toning ordinance paragraph 1302 to read : 2 ft.mily dwelling units if as many as 16 must come to Planning Board for approval over 16 units in rural and low density must come to Planning Board • Board agreed to remove word substantially from D Section 1509 Friendly Ice Cream sign request conforms to legal requirements . A question on lighting : is ther4 a shield ? Mr . Stanton to check on this question . The sign was conditionally approved ( if shielded ) . Next meeting May 13th . Board to review subdivision regulations by then . Meeting adjourned 10 : 15PM
