lems in connection with the proposed Subdivision Regulations ,
before the public hearing to be held on September 4 , 1968 , at

The Chairman also emphasized the necessity for the formulation of
• a work sheet for the use of Planning Board members , which will
list step by step just what each subdivision applicant has com-
pleted , and the maximum time to the next step , so that the Plan-
ning Board can keep track of progress . Thus if the Planning Board
feels it is its duty to do so , it can remind the applicant that he
is to appear by a stipulated time , with further steps completed .
Miller Suggested that each member of the Board might try to make up such
a sheet , and all such attempts could be assembled to make sure
that all aspects of the procedure had been covered .
Showacre Suggested that a meeting of minds on the work sheet be held , with
Tom Niederkorn present , and also that samples of checklists from
various nearby towns would be helpful in making up such a list
for this Planning Board .
Ruzicka Mentioned the advisability of all Planning Board members knowing
something about subdivision regulations , when judging various par -
cels of real estate which will in the future come before this Board .
Miller Asked whether there is a possibility that special meetings will SPECIAL
be necessary on the fourth Monday of each month , and should MEETINGS
therefore be regularly scheduled hereafter .
Showacre Replied that once there is approval of 701 funds for Lansing ,
there will be a special meeting every month with Tom Niederkorn .
•
These special meetings should therefore be set up as occurring
regularly on the fourth Monday of each month . The regular meet -
ings , on the second Mondays , will be used to handle all other
Board business .

Board • members wish to be notified of forthcoming meetings , TIFICATION

highway and the land use surveys need additional help . COUNCIL
Showacre Mentioned that the main feature in the land use survey will be
a map showing the land use of each of the thousands of parcels
in the Town of Lansing . He also emphasized that completion of
some of the other surveys depends upon the completion of the
land use survey .
