Platt, Code Enforcement Officer * Bud Shattuck, Town Board Liaison PUBLIC PRESENT John (Jack) Young Elliott Smith GENERAL BUSINESS • Gregg Travis, Chairman of the Board called the meeting to order at 4 : 55 PM . Approval/Denial of April 11 , 2006 Minutes Daniel Konowalow ` s recollection of the time change discussion was that it would take effect from May to October. Daniel Konowalow made a motion to approve the minutes, subject to the review of the tape indicating the correct month(s) . Henry (Hurf) Sheldon seconded. VOTE AS FOLLOWS : Ronald Bricker — Aye Linda Hirvonen - Abstained Daniel Konowalow — Aye Henry (Hurf) Sheldon — Aye Gregg Travis - Aye MOTION CARRIED . Acceptance/Denial To Hear Case For: Use Variance, John Young (T C United Soccer Club & Ithaca Youth Soccer Club), East Shore Drive, Parcel # P/O 37.1-2.2.64 (12.1 acres) T Amended 6/20/06 . John Young and Elliott Smith appeared before the Zoning Board of Appeals requesting their 2r,d application be considered for a Use Variance. Mr. Smith provided the members with a revised map showing the exact amount of property involved, and the location of the field two (2) fields. A letter indicating the proposed changes was also provided. A brief discussion regarding re-zoning/spot zoning took place. Mr. Young was advised that this request could be considered under a "Planned Development Area '. Linda Hirvonen inquired about future plans for additional fields. Mr. Smith explained that they have limited the area which does not allow for additional fields, except for possibly a mini youth field. Greg Travis requested that Mr. Young mark out the entire 12. 1 acres with some sort of colored flags. Linda Hirvonen made a motion to accept the revised proposal for consideration and set the Public Hearing for, Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at 7:05 PM. Ronald Bricker seconded. VOTE AS FOLLOWS : Ronald Bricker — Aye Linda Hirvonen - Aye Daniel Konowalow — Aye Henry (Hurf) Sheldon — Aye Gregg Travis - Aye MOTION CARRIED , Other Business Gregg Travis advised the members that The Town had been approached by the Byrne Dairy Corporation in regards to possibility erecting a new store in the Lansing Area. Mr. Travis asked for feedback from the members. All were in favor of the proposal . Bud Shattuck, Town Board Liaison advised the Board that the Town Board would also be in favor of this proposal . Mr. Shattuck will share the Zoning Board Members feedback with the Town Board at their next meeting on Wednesday, May 17 , 2006 . Linda Hirvonen made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 5 : 25 PM .
