Platt, Code Enforcement Officer Bud Shattuck, Deputy Town Supervisor PUBLIC PRESENT Lucinda Jacobs Lucille Kemple • David Sheffield Jr. Claudia Brenner GENERAL BUSINESS Stephen White, Chairman of the board requested a motion to call the meeting to order at 7 : 00 PM. Linda Hirvonen made a motion to open the meeting. David Dittman seconded. VOTE AS FOLLOWS : Ronald Bricker - Aye David Dittman - Aye Linda Hirvonen - Aye Stephen White — Aye MOTION CARRIED . Lucille Kemple, 22 Stormy View Drive, Parcel #41 .445 . 51 , R1 District. Area Variance for : Second Dwelling Unit attached to home. Lucille Kemple along with Architect Claudia Brenner appeared before the board requesting acceptance/denial from The Zoning Board to hear their request. Mrs. Kemple is requesting an Area Variance to attach a second dwelling unit to her existing home . The • proposed request would consist of a 1 , 100 square feet dwelling unit attached to the ZBA 11 / 16/05 existing home. The requirements for the RI district allow a maximum area of 750 square feet to be added . Discussion . Linda Hirvonen requested to know if the Tompkins County Health Department had given their approval for the expansion . Lucille Kemple explained the original home plans with Health Department approval were for a four (4) bedroom home. The Kemple ' s changed their plans to a three (3) bedroom after Health Department gave approval . Linda Hirvonen requested from the Code Enforcement Office clarification between Mother-in-Law Apartment and a Two Family Dwelling. Findings : Linda Hirvonen made a motion for the Zoning Board of Appeals to accept and hear the Kemple request contingent upon receiving a formal approval from The Tompkins County Health Department and clarification from the Code Enforcement Office concerning definitions for Mother-in-Law Apartment and Two Family Dwelling, David Dittman seconded . VOTE AS FOLLOWS : Ronald Bricker - Aye David Dittman - Aye Linda Hirvonen - Aye Stephen White — Aye David Dittman made a motion to set the Public Hearing for Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at 5 : 00 PM . Stephen White seconded. VOTE AS FOLLOWS : Ronald Bricker - Aye David Dittman - Aye Linda Hirvonen - Aye Stephen White — Aye MOTION CARRIED . Approval of July 19, 2005 Minutes David Dittman made a motion to accept the minutes as submitted. Stephen White seconded . VOTE AS FOLLOWS : Ronald Bricker - Aye David Dittman - Aye Linda Hirvonen - Aye Stephen White — Aye a MOTION CARRIED . i ZBA 11 /16/05 y7 • Meeting Time Change Linda Hirvonen made a motion to change The Zoning Board of Appeal meeting time to 5 * 00 PM effective December 2005 . Ronald Bricker seconded. VOTE AS FOLLOWS : Ronald Bricker - Aye David Dittman - Aye Linda Hirvonen - Aye Stephen White — Aye MOTION CARRIED , David Dittman made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7 : 35 PM. Ronald Bricker seconded.
