Platt, Code Enforcement Officer * Bud Shattuck, Deputy Town Supervisor PUBLIC PRESENT None GENERAL BUSINESS • Stephen White, Chairman of the Board opened the meeting at 6 : 05 PM . Prior to the meeting, Board Members were provided with copies of two (2) Resumes from perspective applicants for the position of Alternate Member to The Zoning Board of Appeals . Mr. White began by stating that he personally knows both applicants and they both would do a good job . Mr. White felt it was hard to vote on one person. Linda Hirvonen stated that she too knew both parties and felt that Mr. Ronald Bricker would do a better job . Mr. Bud Shattuck, Deputy Supervisor/Liaison cautioned the board with adding an additional Real Estate person to the Board. Mr. Shattuck felt it may weigh heavy in other people ' s minds . Daniel Konowalow stated that he felt after reading both summaries that they were both qualified . Mr. Konowalow' s decision leaned toward Mr. Ronald Bricker because of his past work experiences . Wayne Lucas was neutral , he had no problems with either one . Daniel Konowalow made a motion to recommend to The Town Board that they appoint Mr. Ronald Bricker to the position of Alternate Member of The Town of Lansing Zoning Board of Appeals effect January 21 , 2004 - December 31 , 2007 . Wayne Lucas seconded . VOTE : ALL IN FAVOR. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY Besemer, Informal Discussion Mr. Platt explained to Board Members that Thomas & Matthew Besemer recently appeared before The Planning Board for an informal discussion regarding a proposal to • purchase land and develop it for housing. With the new zoning changes it would put the parcel in two districts (B2 & IR) . By the Planning Board drawing the B2 line 300 feet r below west of Drake road it would prohibit residential development. The IR district is no longer available for mining. The Besemer' s have completed a Variance application requesting that the Zoning Board allow them to develop residential lots in the areas defined by the map submitted . Linda Hirvonen made a motion to set the Public Hearing date for Thursday, January 29, 2004 at 6 : 00 PM . Stephen White seconded . VOTE : ALL IN FAVOR. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY , Stephen White made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6 : 17 . Linda Hirvonen seconded . VOTE : ALL IN FAVOR.
