MOTION CARRIED.
Mr. Clay Burruss is requesting an Area Variance to permit a Shed to remain in a
location on his property that is in the road right of way. Mr. Burruss previously
appeared before the Zoning Board of Appeals for an Area Variance to erect an
addition to his home. At that Meeting, a discussion with respect to where the
Shed(s) was going to be placed was discussed and Mr. Burruss stated he was
going to get rid of them.

APPROVED zBA 03-17-09
Applicant/Member Questions/Concerns:
Clay Burruss: Stated he originally stored his boat where the Shed is located, but
decided to store the boat off site and leave the Shed where it is.
Gregg Travis: Inquired if Mr. Burruss owned the property across the road.
Clay Burruss: No, the Town owns the property.
Clay Burruss: Asked his neighbor if she would like to look at a finished Shed that
resembles his home, or a couple of boats with blue tarps or a storage trailer. Ms.
Bennett indicated a finished shed.
Henry (Hurf) Sheldon: States his recollection from the Addition Variance
Meeting was that the shed or any other structure was not going to be there. It
was more less a trade off.
Linda Hirvonen: Indicated that the boat/trailer is movable, whereas the shed is
more of a permanent structure.
Daniel Konowalow: States the Zoning Ordinance was not instilled for aesthetics
purposes, but rather for the highway requirements with regards to the right of
ways.
Daniel Konowalow: Indicated it would be possible to build it into the side of the
hill backed up to the Garage. A cinder block foundation could be built.
Gregg Travis: Requested to clarify for the record the setbacks and determine
what the issue really is. Mr. Burruss's property is a lake shore property with the
set backs for the rear being 30 feet from the right of way line. The shed is clearly
in the right of way.
Linda Hirvonen made a motion to close the Public Hearing. Daniel Konowalow
seconded.
