STATE ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY REVIEW RESOLUTION -
DECLARATION OF LEAD AGENCY, HARTZ - MAPLE AVENUE MINOR
SUBDIVISION, 21 MAPLE AVE, TAX PARCEL NO. 26. 10-16
WHEREAS, an Application was submitted for Subdivision review by Mathewfartz, Owner
and Applicant, for the proposed subdivision of the existing 3.37-acre parcel in three parcels:
Parcel A, measuring 1.262 acres with existing two -unit residence; Parcel 8,18.. ,acres;` d
Parcel C, measuring 1.015 acres, in Lansing, New York, also known as Tax Parcel `Numr 26.-
10-16 in the Residential Moderate Density (R2) Zoning District; and `
WHEREAS, this is a proposed action reviewed under the T
and Regulations, for which the application was received Mji
Subdivision Rules
WHEREAS, 6 NYCRR § 617 of the State Environmental Qu ity%#w Act ("SEQRA")
requires that a Lead Agency be established for condng environmeAtal review of projects in
accordance with local and state environmental l w and the Lead Agency shall be that local
agency which has primary responsibility for droving an nding or carrying out the action;
and

WHEREAS, The Planning Board of t Town of Lansi is believed best suited to review the
impacts of this proposed Subdivisi (i)�,e Pla Board is the only body with
jurisdiction to classify the Subdi ' on' iss� the inal Subdivision approval, (ii) the
Planning Board is best situate to u rsta andIvaluate the potential unique impacts of such
Subdivision upon the Town d u the velopmental patterns, topography, and unique
natural and non -natural ature the Town of Lansing, including known streams, wetlands,
UNAs, agricultural r ur of va e, and archeosensitive sites within or near the Major
Subdivision area, (' a g and has the broadest governmental powers for
investigating t p ntial c mpacts of the Subdivision and implementing conditions
or mitigating ntro nd ac rdingly (iv) the Planning Board has the greatest capacity for
providinp-he Thost tho g nvironmental assessment of the proposed Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, this proposed action is an Unlisted Action for which the Town of Lansing
Planning Board is the sole involved agency for the purposes of a State Environmental Quality
Revi "SERA") review;
NOW, NNORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
That the Town of Lansing Planning Board does hereby declare itself Lead Agency for the
environmental review for the action of Subdivision review for Town of Lansing Tax Parcel
Number 26.40-16 for Matthew Hartz, Owner and Applicant.
