Planner Update
- The Town Board created a Conservation Advisory Council (CAC) in January 2019. The
Town Board may accept applications and appoint members or perhaps just appoint
them from a list of people proposed by Joe Wetmore. The CAC is essentially
responsible for preparing open space index for the Town and natural resources
inventory that can be of some use to the Planning Board; they can be helpful during
environmental quality reviews; could be put in charge with monitoring the Towns
Conservation Easements (Purchasing Development Rights); they can work on
Blueway Trails.
- Blueway Trail signs should be installed in Myers Park in the next month or so once the
Town Board approved the agreement with County Planning, which we are receiving
some final details of what the signs will look like.
- There is an emphasis on the NYSERDA Clean Energy Action Plan for the area and the
NYSEG Moratorium. NYSERDA are very interested in trying to help us help with the
power plant. There is a lot of interesting conversations happening right now.
- CJ attended the Symposium on Energy last month
- Incremental Development Alliance Group
- Lansing Energy issues group. They have a guest once a month and invites local
residents.
- Discussion on Battery Energy Storage,Micro-Hydro, Solar,Wind Local Law there is
also discussion of creating Environmental Protection Overlay Districts. Soon we hope
to discuss Steep Slope Regulations.
