The Lansing Town Board met in Special Session at the Lansing Town Hall Board
Room at 8:00 a.m. with Supervisor Pinney presiding.

Check List for Planning Department:
Discussion was held on the in -house check list for the Planning Department.
Suggestions and changes were made and will be discussed with the Planning Board and
Planning Department.
Discussion was also held on the removal of some sections of the Land Use
Ordinance which will also be discussed with the Planning Department and Planning
Board.

RESOLUTION SCHEDULING PUBLIC HEARING FOR
WARREN ROAD SEWER DISTRICT EXTENSION
At a Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Lansing held in and for the
Town of Lansing at the Lansing Town Hall on the 29th day of February, 2008, the
following members being present: A. Scott Pinney, Supervisor; Connie Wilcox,
Councilperson; Francis Shattuck, Councilperson; and Matthew Besemer, Councilperson;
and the following members being absent: Martin Christopher, Councilperson; and the
following motion for a Resolution was duly made by motion of Francis Shattuck, and
was duly seconded by Connie Wilcox; and the vote was as follows: A. Scott Pinney —
aye, Connie Wilcox — aye; Francis Shattuck — aye, and Matthew Besemer — aye; and the
following Resolution therefore passed 4 -0, and was duly adopted:
WHEREAS, several businesses in the Warren Road Business Park have expressed an
interest in a sewer extension to service the said Business Park and TCAD has advised
that, due to lot footprints and needed expansions for several businesses in the said
Business Park, sewer services are needed or businesses will leave Lansing; and
WHEREAS, the Town has discussed the feasibility of a sewer extension to service
sections of Warren Road and the Warren Road Business Park, and the Village of Lansing
appears to support such an endeavor; and
WHEREAS, upon petition of Transonic Systems, Inc., the Town directed the preparation
of a feasibility study and an Engineering Map, Plan and Report ( "MPR ") to extend sewer
services as aforesaid (see Resolution 07 -179, dated September 5, 2007); and
WHEREAS, Transonic Systems, Inc. has executed a Developer's Agreement to pay for
the costs of a feasibility study and the MPR upon such proposed extension in such
manner as will prevent any part of the cost thereof from becoming a public charge; and

WHEREAS, upon due deliberation upon this matter, the Town Board of the Town of
Lansing has hereby
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Lansing hereby desire public input
upon such Sewer Extension and thus schedules a Public Hearing upon the same at the
Lansing Town Hall, 29 Auburn Road, Lansing, New York, being in the Town of Lansing,
on the 19'' day of March, 2008 at 6:25 o'clock P.M., to consider said extension and the
finalization of the MPR, and to hear all persons interested in the subject thereof, and to
take such action thereon as is required or permitted by law; and it is further
RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk of the Town of Lansing, Tompkins County, New
York, is hereby authorized and directed to cause a Notice of Public Hearing to be
published in the official newspaper of the Town of Lansing, and also to post a copy
thereof on the Town signboard maintained by the Town Clerk, in accord with law.

RESOLVED, that the Special Meeting be adjourned at 9:05 a.m. at the call of the
Supervisor.
