The Lansing Town Board met in Special Session at the Lansing Town Hall Board
Room at 12:00 noon on November 29, 2004 with Supervisor Farkas presiding.
The Supervisor called the meeting to order and had the clerk take the Roll Call.

BOND RENEWAL RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $154,840.00 SERIAL BONDS
OF THE TOWN OF LANSING, TOMPKINS COUNTY, NEW YORK TO PAY FOR
THE COST OF THE PURCHASE OF HIGHWAY EQUIPMENT.
At a Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Lansing held in and for the
Town of Lansing at the Lansing Town Hall on 29th day of November, 2004, the
following members being present: Stephen Farkas, Supervisor; Francis Shattuck,
Councilperson; and Marty Christopher, Councilperson; and the following members being
absent: Douglas McEver, Councilperson; and Connie Wilcox, Councilperson; and the
following Resolution was duly made by motion of Francis Shattuck, and seconded by
Marty Christopher, and the vote was as follows: Stephen Farkas — aye, Francis Shattuck —
aye, and Marty Christopher - aye, and the following Resolution therefore passed 3 -0:
WHEREAS, the Town Highway Department purchased a new multi - purpose excavator in
October 2003 at a purchase price of $234,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Town Board issued a Bond Anticipation Note, 2003 No. 01 -03, in the
amount of $184,000.00 to pay for the actual and estimated expenses related to the
purchase of the multi - purpose excavator, which Bond Anticipation Note has come up for
renewal; and
WHEREAS, the Town has contacted several lending
rates, and has determined that the banking institution
rates should issue the funds pursuant to the BAN pro
WHEREAS, after a review of the foregoing and
thereof, the Town Board of the Town of Lansing has
institutions to find the lowest BAN
with the best service and the lowest
Bess; and
due deliberation and consideration
hereby
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Lansing, Tompkins County, New York
hereby authorizes the Supervisor, or the Deputy Supervisor, to make a payment to the Troy
Savings Bank in the amount of $29,160.00, representing the principal and interest due on the
present Bond Anticipation Note 01 -03; and it is further

RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Lansing, Tompkins County, New York
hereby authorizes the Supervisor, or the Deputy Supervisor, to execute and deliver such
documents as are necessary to issue Bond Anticipation Note 01 -04 in an amount of
$154,840.00 with the Tompkins Trust Company, with interest thereon to be not greater than
2.18% per annum for a period from December 1, 2004 until November 30, 2005; and it is
further
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Lansing, Tompkins County, New York
hereby authorizes the Supervisor, or the Deputy Supervisor, to use the proceeds of the Bond
Anticipation Note 01 -04 to fully pay the remaining obligation of the Town of Lansing to the
Troy Savings Bank under Bond Anticipation Note 01 -03 in the amount of $154,840.00; and
it is further
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor, or Deputy Supervisor, be and he hereby is authorized to
execute and deliver such documents as are necessary to effectuate the purposes of this
Resolution; and it is further
RESOLVED, that the Bond Anticipation Note to be executed by the Supervisor, or Deputy
Supervisor, shall be designated as Bond Anticipation Note 01 -04.

RESOLVED, that the bookkeeper is hereby authorized and directed to pay the
