The Supervisor called the meeting to order and took the Roll
Call.
Visitors: Peter Larson, Highway Superintendent, George Totman,
Code Enforcement Officer and Dave Herrick, Town Engineer.
The Town Board, Mr. Herrick, Mr. Totman and Mr. Larson took a
tour of Town roads of concern. Said tour continued for about one
and a half hours. The Board was especially happy with the paving
job which is being completed under Superintendent Larson's
supervision.
The Town Board discussed the Town's Insurance policy and
decided it would be in the best interest of the Town to go with
NYMIR insurance coverage and PERMA coverage for the workman's
compensation. At this time, the following resolution was offered:
RESOLUTION, offered by Mr. Beckwith and seconded by Mr.
Tvaroha:
WHEREAS, the Town Board has recei
coverage for the Town of Lansing thro,
through the New York State Municipal I
for general property and liability cove
Risk Management Association (PERMA)
coverage; and

WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Lansing has received a
comparison of the policies from a consultant concerning the
coverage provided and the premiums charged, and the Town Board
having met with the agents for the carriers and having deliberated
thereon; be it therefore
RESOLVED,
that the Town
of Lansing,
pursuant to Section
50
subdivision 3
of the Worker's
Compensation
Law of the State of
New
York, elects
to secure worker's
compensation
coverage as a self
-
insurer; and
be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town
insurance for the Town of Lansing
effective June 01, 1995, and authorizes
Town of Lansing including notification
of Lansing shall purchase
through NYMIR and PERMA,
the Supervisor to sign the
to the Chairperson of the
Worker's
Compensation Board pursuant to
Section
50 subdivision
4 -a
of the
Worker's Compensation
Law of
the
State of
New York.

RESOLVED, that the Public Hearing on the proposed
Hall scheduled for June 14, 1995 is hereby postponed until
1995 at 7:00 p.m. in room 101 of the Lansing High School.
