The Supervisor called the meeting to order having the clerk
take the Roll Call.
The above named residents of the Lakewatch area addressed the
Board concerning their lighting district charge on their 1994 tax
bills. The residents felt that there should be a more equitable
and fair way of assessing the charge. Instead of basing the charge
by assessment they feel that there should be a unit charge of 1 /
46th and everyone be charged equally and fairly. They also
informed the Board that they had no disclosure of the lighting
district and there is no indication of this in their deeds.
It was the consensus of the Board that the residents should be
charged a unit charge and will take further action at a later date.
Mrs. Kirby and Mr. Herrick met with Andrea Price regarding the
Ludlowville Road and entrance road to the schools. They also
discussed a right turn -off lane. Mr. Herrick will report further
at the February 16th meeting.
RESOLUTION, offered by Mr. Beckwith who moved its adoption,
seconded by Mr. Cleveland.
RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes the bookkeeper to
refund $347.34 to John Adams for overpayment of units charged for
Water District No. 13 on his 1994 tax bill. This amount is due
because of incorrect input of data at Tompkins County Assessment
Department.
