September 05, 1990 The Lansing Town Board met in Special Session at the Lansing Town Hall Boardroom on September 05, 1990 at 7:00 P.M. with Supervisor Kirby presiding. The Supervisor called the meeting to order and took the roll call. David Herrick, Town Engineer discussed the following: 1. Borg Warner's sewer problem and what they have done to try to correct the problem. 2. Water District #9. Clean -up on Brookhaven is excellent. Mr. LaBar is unhappy about where the water line main has stopped. 3. Study on Sperry Lane and 34B will be approved on September 12th with the idea contractor that payment will be made in January of 1991. 4. Water District #13. Buzz Nelson�is having problem with the way his driveway was left by the contractor. Mr. Rizzo has now-refused to correct the driveway. Dave Herrick recommended that somehow Mr. Rizzo corrects the situation. 5. Water District 414. Some parts where landscaping was done the seed did not take. The contractor has agreed to come back and reseed next spring. (Aye) Larry Tvaroha, Councilman 1 0 :.I RECOM1ENDATION OF THE TOWN OF LANSING HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT THAT PART OF BROWN HILL ROAD SHOULD BE ABANDONED The undersigned, Peter Larson, Town Superintendent: of Highways of the Town of LansIng, County of Tompkins, New York, hereby certifies: That the highway in said Town of Lansing known and described as Brown Hill Road, being all that portion thereof commencing at the intersection of Brown Hill Road with the east line of Salmon Creek Road in the Town of '"ansing; thence easterly along said Brown Hill Road 1761 feet containing all of Brown Hill Road between its right of way lines and being 1761 feet in length from its inersection with the east side of Salmon Creek Road in the Town of Lansing. This section of said road has not be travelled or used as a highway for six or more years prior to the date of this Certificate and said highway should be declared abandoned pursuant to Section 205 of the Highway Law, as a highway and a public right of way. State of New York oualified in Tompkins Coup y My Comm. expires il2G; BONITA BOLES RESOLUTION FOR THE DEDICATION OF AUTUMN RIDGE DRIVE AND AUTUMN RIDGE CIRCLE At a regularly scheduled Town Board meeting held in and for the Town of Lansing, held at the Town Hall, Lansing, New York on the 5th day of September, 1990, the following resolution was duly made by Herbert Beckwith, and seconded by, Louis Emmick and the votes recorded as follows: Jeannine Kirby, voting Aye Herbert Beckwith, voting Aye Jeffrey Cleveland, voting Aye Louis Emmick, voting Aye Larry Tvaroha, voting Nay WHEREAS, approvals have been obtained from the Lansing Town Engineer, David Herrick, and the Lansing Town .Highway Superintendent, Peter Larson, for the dedication of a roadway known as Autumn Ridge Circle and a 415± foot section of a roadway known as Autumn Ridge Circle as part of a development known as Autumn Ridge Subdivision, all of which lie within the. Town of Lansing; and WHEREAS, the road to be known as Autumn Ridge Drive is a parcel of land leading from Autumn Ridge Circle to New 'forty: State Route 34 500+ feet of the western most part of which lies within the Village of Lansing; and, as such, will require the approval and dedication by the Village of Lansing, be it RESOLVED, that the Town of Lansing shall accept the roadways. for dedication known as Autumn Ridge Circle all of which shall be described in a deed from LaVette Development Corporation to the 1 Town of Lansing as approved by the Town Attorney and. such acceptance shall be contingent upon the following: 1. (Aye) Larry Tvaroha, Councilman 64 continued September 05, 1990 Laurel Southard, President of the Board of Directors for the S.P.C.A. addressed the Board on the contract they currently have with the Town. The S.P.C.A. would like to negotiate the up coming contract. This will be discussed at a later date. RESOLUTION offered by Mr..Beckwith who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Cleveland: RESOLVED that Sharon Bowman work an additional (4) hours a week with an increase in pay of $10.97 for each additional hour worked effective September 10th. She will be working a total of 40 hours a week based on the current policy . conditions. through December 31, 1990. Vote of Town Board . . West, Director of Budget and Finance dated August 23, 1990 and the Local Law No. 8 of 1990 entitled Taxes and Installments of the County of Tompkins the following resolutions were duly made by Mr. Emmick and seconded by Mr. Beckwith. RESOLUTION MADE UNDER PROTEST FOR: PAYMENT OF TOWN OF LANSING TAXES IN INSTALLMENTS. { WHEREAS the Board of Representatives in and for the County of Tompkins on August 14, 1990 adopted Local Law No. 8 which provides that the County of Tompkins shall become the tax collection agency for the purpose of collecting .real property taxes and special assessments in installments; and WHEREAS, the Tompkins County Board Resolution No. 315 directs payment to the Town as compensation for costs associated with the administration of the installment option in the amount of One Dollar ($1.00) per the installment payer; and WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Lansing is desirous of having the payment of -the Town of Lansing 'faxes be subject to the conditions and terms outlined in said local law.
