HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-02-26February 26, 1986 6 3 The Lansing Town Board met in an Adjourned Meeting on February 26, 1986 at 8:00 P.M. to conduct a Public Hearing to extend a water service to the Hamlet of Ludlowville, and to consider and act on any other business that may come before sa -id board. ROLL CALL Herbert Howell Supervisor Present Louis Emmick Councilman Present Bert Hilliard Councilman Present Jeannine Kirby Councilwoman Present George Stevens Councilman Present Robert Williamson Town Attorney Present Jane Bush Horky Town Clerk Present Visitors: Deputy Clerk Wanda B. Brink, Eng. T.G. Miller, David Herrick, Bernard Thoma and ten Lansing residents. The Supervisor called the meeting to order having the clerk take the Roll Call. Proof of Notice having been furnished by the Town Clerk, the Public Hearing to extend a water service to the Hamlet of Ludlowville was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by the Supervisor. Engineer T.G. Miller reported on the proposed engineering plan to extend water to the Hamlet of Ludlowville. Bernard Thoma of Thoma Development Consultants, reported on the proposed Application being prepared for submission to HUD for funding under the Fiscal Year 1986 which the Town anticipates using the funds to extend a water service to the Hamlet of Ludlowville. The maximum amount of the grant application is $400,000.00. RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Stevens, who moved its adoption, seconded by Ms. Kirby: RESOLVED, that it is the intent of the Lansing Town Board to give all possible assistance to the Ludlowville Water District, when formed, in implementing the provisions of this Grant (HUD - Ludlowville Extention) including provisions for a continuous distribution system. (Aye) Herbert Howell, Supervisor No one appeared voicing any objection to the proposed extension of water service to the Hamlet of Ludlowville as presented, and all persons desiring to be heard, having been heard, the Public Hearing was terminated at 8:35 P.M. On motion, meeting adjourned at the call of the Supervisor PUBLIC HEARING TOWN OF LANSING The Town of Lansing is preparing an application for submission to' the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); for funding under the Fiscal Year 1986 Community Development Block Grant. Program. The Town anticipates 'using the funds tol extend a'water service to the Hamlet of Ludlowville. The max- imum amount of the grant appli- cation is $400,000. As required by Section 570.43,1,' Subpart F; Small-Cities Program, Community Development Block; Grant Regulations of the Depart -? ment of Housing and Urban De -" velopment, the Town of Lansing+ will be holding a public hearing. i The public hearing will take`; place in the Town Hall, located at 29 Aubuin Road (Route Lansing, New .York. The dote I and time of the hearing is Feb - ruary 26, 1986, at 8:00 p. m. At the ppublic hearing, the proposed application will be discussed in more detoil. The public is invited to express their views concern- ing the. proposed 'apPPlicafion.
