RESOLUTION offered by Mrs. McElwee, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Hilliard: RESOLVED, that Howard Groat be authorized to attend the school for High- way Superintendents to be held at Cornell University June 10, 11, 12, 1985 and that any necessary expenses be a town charge. Carried Letter received from Mayor Anne Furry stating that the Lansing Village Board of Trustees requests that the Village Planning Board be delegated the responsibility for assigning house numbers within the Village. Letter received from Roy 0. Priest, Director of Community Planning and Development Division, acknowledging receipt of our application for a Small Cities Community Development Block Grant. Notice received from the Tompkins County Municipal Officers Association stating that a Country Breakfast Meeting would be held on June 1, 1985 at 9:00 A.M. at the Holiday Inn. Guest speakers to be Assemblyman Sam MacNeil and Senator Lloyd Riford, Jr. Letter received from Thomas A. Duffy, Jr., Chairman of N.Y.S. Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control stating that recent amendments to Subdivision 2(a) of Section 64 and Section 109 of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Law require, respectively, that an applicant for a license to sell alcoholic beverages at retail for on premises consumption and any applicant for renewal of a license must notify the clerk of the village, town or city where the licensed premises is to be located or is located of their intention to apply for a license or to renew a license. A copy of Letter received from Tompkins County Assessment Dept. stating that the Local Advisory Board of Assessment Review for the Town of Lansing is scheduled to meet Town from to 5:00 from Hall. 3:00 P.M. Carried Ms. Dorothy Pomponio, Member of the League of Women's Voters requested the Supervisor to sign a Petition on behalf of the Town Board. Said Petition was a request for permission to bring an expert to a Judicial Hearing to represent the N.Y.S. Electric & Gas rate payers to decide how much cost o.f....a dead facility the rate payers are compelled to accept versus the stockholders. Electric & Gas Judicial Hearing. Carried Members of the Town Board and James Farkas discussed fees for launching and camping at the Lansing Town Park, following resolution offered: RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Stevens, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Emmick: RESOLVED, that the following fees be established for the 1985 Park Season, effective when park is officially opened. Groat stated that the main roof on the Highway Garage needs repainting. Approximate cost for primer and rustoleum would be $1,500.00. Gary Wood presented his monthly Code Enforcement Report. Supervisor Munson discussed the dog situation in Lansing, stating there was no communication or cooperation between the S.P.C.A. and our Dog Control Officer, Lorraine Bard. Supervisor Munson discussed the constant problem of the west end octopus for persons driving to and from the Tompkins Community Hospital. Mr. Munson asked the opinion of Town Board Members if pressure should be put on the :City of Ithaca for an overpass. Consensus of the board that a serious problem exists and were in favor of pressuring the City for an overpass. Councilman George Stevens stated that the Family Forum has $2,300.00 in funds earmarked for playground equipment. Discussion by the board, following resolution offered: RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Stevens, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Hilliard: RESOLVED, that the Family Forum order playground equipment and place in Recreation Field. Carried Councilwoman Margaret McElwee discussed the Town publishing a Newsletter. Supervisor Munson presented his monthly report AUDIT RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Emmick, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mrs. McElwee: RESOLVED, that General Fund bills #192 through #256 totalling $48,607.59 and Highway Fund bills #159 through #198 totalling $82,969.65 be and the same are hereby approved for payment, and be it further RESOLVED, that Water District #2 bills be and the same are hereby approved for payment.
