The Lansing Town Board met in Regular Session at the Lansing Town Hall 211
on December 11, 1984 at 8:00 P.M. with Supervisor Munson presiding.

Visitors: Deputy Clerk Wanda B. Brink, Harold E. Shoemaker, District
Representative of Syracuse Supply Company.
Supervisor Munson called the meeting to order having the clerk take the
Roll Call.
• Bids were publicly opened for one used 1977 or newer 24" X 40' Radial
Stacker. One bid received as follows.
Syracuse Supply Company Powerscreen Model 60 Portable Radial
2909 Vestal Road Stacker $29382.00
Vestal, New York
Town Board Members discussed the bid received and the following resolution
was offered:
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Emmick, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Stevens:
WHEREAS, the Highway Superintendent has duly advertised for bids for
one used 1977 or newer 24" X 40' Radial Stacker, and
WHEREAS, Syracuse Supply Company of Vestal, New York was the only bidder
offering a bid in the amount of $2,382.00 for a Powerscreen Model 60 Portable
Radial Stacker, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the bid of Syracuse Supply Company be accepted for the
Powerscreen Model 60 Portable Radial Stacker in the amount of $2,382.00 and the
Highway Superintendent be and he is hereby authorized to complete said trans-
action on behalf of the town.

Supervisor Munson advised the board that he has signed a Purchase Offer
on behalf of the town to purchase 1+ acre of land from joseph Farkas.
RESOLUTION offered by Mrs. McElwee, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Stevens:
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and he is hereby authorized and directed
to complete the purchase of the Joseph Farkas property, Tax Map #33 -3 -17,
located on Myers Road, for the sum of $5,000.00 plus tax adjustments.

RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Stevens, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Emmick:
• RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute the APPLICATIONS for Approval of Plans for Lansing
Water District #6 and for the Cherry Road Sewer District Stage I.

A copy of the minutes of September 11, 18th, October 2nd, 9th, Nov. 8th,
13th and December 4, 1984 having been furnished to Members of the Town Board
beforehand, the Supervisor asked for a motion to propose corrections or to
accept same as submitted.
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Emmick, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Stevens:
RESOLVED, that the minutes as submitted<by the clerk be approved.

RESOLVED, that the Highway Superintendent be authorized and directed to
execute Agreement between the N.Y.S. Dept. of Environmental Conservation and
the Town of Lansing for excavation of silt and gravel in waterways in the
Town of Lansing. (continued) Carried

Letter received from the N.Y.S. Dept. of Transporation stating that a formal
investigation will be made of our request for a lower speed limit on Warren Drive.
Letter received from Ms. Carol Kammen, accepting her appointment on the
Lansing Planning Board.
Letter received from Highway Superintendent Howard Groat stating that he
would accept the four - tenths mile of road known as Forest Acre Drive as a Town
Road, said road meeting all Town specifications. Board withheld taking action
until deed is received.

RESOLVED, that gravel, sand and crushed stone from the Town of Lansing
Gravel Pit will be available only to other Municipalities for a fair consider-
ation, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the gravel, sand and crushed stone, pursuant to law, shall
not be given to any private owners and individuals.
Unanimously carried
Councilman George Stevens brought the board up -to -date on activities of
the Recreation Commission.
Highway Superintendent Howard Groat questioned the board on Lansing Park
operations for the 1985 season. It was the consensus of the board that Mr. Groat
should proceed with plans for the 1985 park season.
Supervisor Munson presented his monthly report.
AUDIT RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Emmick, who moved its adoption, seconded
by Mr. Stevens.
RESOLVED, that General Fund bills #644 through #691 totalling $43,533.45
and Highway Fund bills #451 through #490 totalling $28,415,16 be and the same
are hereby approved for payment, and be it further
RESOLVED, that Water District #2 bills be and the same are hereby
approved for payment.
