182 Supervisor Munson and Councilman Hilliard to meet with the Planning Board to
discuss persons to fill the vacancies on the Planning Board.
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Hilliard, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Emmick:
RESOLVED, that Supervisor Munson be authorized to attend a meeting in Syracuse,
New York on June 20, 1984 with Hud Representatives and that any expenses be a
town charge.

Highway Superintendent
Howard Groat
discussed
services
rendered by
the
Highway
Department on July 7, 1984
at Bucky's Gas
Station located
on Ridge Road,
due
to
a gasoline leak. It was the
consensus of
the board
that
Highway Supt. Groat
submit
an itemized bill to Bucky's
Gas Station for said services
rendered. Mr.
Groat
also
discussed the
patching
of
town
roads and
the
drain
tile
on
the
recreation
field.
A copy of the minutes of May 8, May 10, June 5 and June 18, 1984 having been
furnished to Members of the Town Board beforehand, the Supervisor asked for a
motion to propose corrections or to accept same as submitted.
RESOLUTION offered by Mrs. McElwee, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Emmick:
RESOLVED, that the minutes as submitted by the clerk be approved.

RESOLVED, that John Homa, Jr. of 48 Teeter Road, Ithaca is hereby appointed,
effective immediately, to fill the unexpired term of Thomas Kick as Member of
the Lansing Planning Board, said term expiring December 31, 1987, and be it
further
RESOLVED, that Larry Sharpsteen of 1057 Auburn Road, Groton is hereby
appointed, effective immediately, to fill the unexpired term of William Cook
as Member of the Lansing Planning Board, said term expiring December 31, 19890

Supervisor Munson discussed Proposed Water District #6 in regard to the Town
applying for grant funds under the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant -
1984 Program.
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Stevens, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Emmick:
RESOLVED, that Supervisor Munson be authorized to attend a meeting in Buffalo,
New York, in regard to Proposed Water District #6 and that any necessary expenses
be a town charge.

Councilwoman Margaret McElwee briefly reviewed Fluoridation Facts issued
by the Bureau of Dental Health, N.Y.S. Department of Health.
RESOLUTION offered by Mrs. McElwee, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Emmick:
RESOLVED, that this meeting (9:30 P.M.) be recessed for the Town Board to
meet in Executive Session to discuss personnel matters. Carried
RESOLUTION offered by Mrs. McElwee, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Emmick:
RESOLVED, that the Executive Session be terminated and the Regular Meeting
be reconvened (9:38 P.M.). Carried
A copy of Resolution No. 154 received from the Tompkins County Board of
Representatives entitled "REAPPORTIONMENT OF DISTRICTS OF THE TOMPKINS COUNTY
BOARD OF REPRESENTATIVES." A local law regarding same will be considered
by the Board of Representatives at a public hearing at the August 14th meeting
• of the Board of Representatives.
A proposed Local Law for Administration and Enforcement of the Uniform
Fire Prevention and Building Code for the Town of Lansing was discussed by
Members of the Town Board and Attorney Williamson. No action taken.
Supervisor Munson presented his monthly report.
AUDIT RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Hilliard, who moved its adoption,
seconded by Mr. Stevens:
RESOLVED, that General Fund bills #338 through #390 totalling $29,395.88
and Highway Fund bills #254 through #299 totalling $33,391.06 be and the same
are hereby approved for payment, and be it further
RESOLVED, that Water District #2 bills be and the same are hereby approved
for payment.

RESOLUTION - PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON U.S.
DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING & URBAN DEVELOPMENT
SMALL CITIES
GRANT APPLICATION
RESOLVED, that a public hearing on the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban
Development Small Cities Grant Application regarding improvements for a
public water distribution system for the South Lansing area will be held
before the Lansing Town Board on Tuesday, July 31, 1984, at 8:00 P.M. in the
Lansing Town Hall, Lansing, New York, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor of this Lansing Town Board be and hereby
is authorized and directed to publish notice of such hearing in the Ithaca
Journal ten (10) days prior to the date of such hearing.
Unanimously adopted.
