Brink, Gary Argetsinger. Supervisor Munson called the meeting to order having the clerk take the Roll Call. Proof of Notice having been furnished by the Town Clerk, the Public Hearing on Proposed Local Law #1 for the year 1984 Repealing Local Law #1 for the year 1983 entitled "Declaration that the Town of Lansing will not enforce the NYS Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code" was called to order at 8 :00 P.M. by Supervisor Munson. No one appeared voicing any objection to the proposed Local Law as presented, and all persons desiring to be heard, having been heard, the Public Hearing was terminated at 8:15 P.M. Town Board Members reviewed the Public Hearing on proposed Local Law #1 for the year 1984 entitled "REPEAL OF LOCAL LAW #1 FOR THE YEAR 1983 ENTITLED "DECLARATION THAT THE TOWN OF LANSING WILL NOT ENFORCE THE NYS UNIFORM FIRE PREVENTION AND BUILDING CODE" and the following Resolution was offered: RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Emmick, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Stevens: WHEREAS, a Public Hearing has been held on April 10, 1984 at 8:00 P.M. in the evening thereof on proposed Local Law #1 - 1984 which REPEALS Local Law #1 for the year 1983 entitled "Declaration that the Town of Lansing will not enforce the NYS Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code," and WHEREAS, a full discussion was held on proposed Local Law #1 - 1984, now therefore be it RESOLVED, that Local Law #1 for the year 1984 entitled "REPEAL OF LOCAL LAW #1 FOR THE YEAR 1983 ENTITLED "DECLARATION.THAT THE TOWN OF LANSING WILL NOT ENFORCE THE NYS UNIFORM FIRE PREVENTION AND BUILDING.CODE," be and the same is hereby declared duly adopted and be it further RESOLVED, that the clerk forward certified copies to the Secretary of State, the State Comptroller, Tompkins County Board of Representatives, Tompkins County Planning Dept., New York State Dept. of Fire Prevention and Control and the State Building Code Council. (Aye) Philip Munson, Supervisor LOCAL LAW #1 - 1984 REPEAL OF LOCAL LAW #1 FOR THE YEAR 1983 ENTITLED "DECLARATION THAT THE TOWN OF LANSING WILL NOT ENFORCE THE NYS UNIFORM FIRE PREVENTION AND BUILDING CODE. Be it enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Lansing as follows: SECTION 1: Local.Law #1, 1983 entitled "Declaration that the Town of Lansing will not enforce the NYS Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code," adopted by the Town of Lansing on June 14, 1983 be and the same is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. This Local Law shall take effect upon its being filed in the office of the Secretary of State and the office of the State Comptroller. Bids were publicly opened for a 1984 or 1985 3/4 ton Window Van, as advertised. Bids received as follows: Croft Ford, Inc. 1984 -E250 Super Club Wagon with trade $125100.00 Athens, Pa. (continued) a • 1 Continued April 10, 1984 175 Town Board Members reviewed and discussed the bids received for the Window Van�,and the following resolution, was offered: RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Emmick, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Hilliard: RESOLVED, that the two bids received for the 3/4 ton Window Van be rejected. Vote of Town Vote of Town Vote of Town Vote of Town Board Board Board Board (Aye) (Aye) (Aye) (Aye) Louis Emmick, Councilman Bert Hilliard, Councilman George Stevens, Councilman Philip Munson, Supervisor Highway Superintendent road repairs and also Howard reported that Groat discussed no major breakdowns the conditions occurred of town roads, during the recent severe snowstorm. the resolution dated March 26, 1984 accepting the bid of Syracuse Supply RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Emmick, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Stevens: the Austin - Weston Roller to the Town of VanEtten for $1,000.00 RESOLVED, that the resolution dated March 26, 1984 accepting the bid of Syracuse Supply Co. of Vestal, New York for a 1979 Kolman Model 101 Super Screening Plant in the amount of $39,500.00, be and the same is hereby rescinded and be it further Munson, Supervisor RESOLVED, that the Highway Superintendent advertise for a three year lease, with the privilege to purchase, of a 1979 or newer Super Screening Plant. Carried RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Hilliard, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Stevens: RESOLVED, that the Town Highway Superintendent be authorized to sell the Austin - Weston Roller to the Town of VanEtten for $1,000.00 and a Case Motor to the Town of Tioga for $250.00, pursuant to 72H of the General Municipal Law. Unanimously carried The Tompkins County Municipal Officers Association will meet at the Party House on April 25, 1984 at 6:30 P.M. RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Stevens, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Emmick: RESOLVED, that the Lansing Town Board elect to fund the current portion (12-months) of the New York State Retirement unbilled liability for each year, in each fund that the town has. (Aye) Philip Munson, Supervisor Supervisor Munson discussed Salmon Creek Erosion Control, potential Armory sites and suggested reapportionment submitted by the Tompkins County Reapportion- ment Committee. Supervisor Munson presented his monthly report. AUDIT RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Emmick, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Stevens: RESOLVED, that General Fund bills #129 through #201 totalling $22,134.39 and Highway Fund bills #124 through #172 totalling $38,215.59be.and the same are hereby approved for payment, and be it further RESOLVED, that Water District #2 bills be and the same are hereby approved for payment.
