Continued March 13, 1984
Supervisor Munson discussed the Town plowing and sanding Village of Lansing
roads. Messrs. Munson and Stevens will contact Village Officials to discuss the
matter.
Supervisor Munson presented his monthly report.
AUDIT RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Emmick, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Hilliard:
RESOLVED, that General Fund bills #72 through #128 totalling $28,896.22
and Highway Fund bills #74 through #123 totalling $85,890.25 be and the same
are hereby approved for payment, and be it further
RESOLVED, that Water District #2 bills be and the same are hereby approved
for payment.

March 20, 1984
The Lansing Town Board met in an Adjourned Meeting on March 20, 1984 at
8:00 P.M. to discuss the N.Y.S. Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code and
to consider and act on any other business that may come before said board.

Supervisor Munson called the meeting to order having the clerk take the
Roll Call.
At the request of Supervisor Munson, Councilman George Stevens chaired
the meeting.
Councilman George Stevens discussed the work session held at the County
Planning Department on March 19, 1984 for Representatives of all Tompkins
County Municipalities in regard to the State Fire and Building Codes.
Board members discussed repealing Lansing Local Law #1 for the year 1983
entitled "Declaration that the Town of Lansing will not enforce the NYS
Uniform Fire Prevention and'Building Codes." Action withheld, pending the
legal advice of Town Attorney Robert Williamson.
It was the consensus of the board that the Town advertise for a part -
time position for a Lansing Zoning and Ordinance and New York State Uniform
Fire and Building Code Enforcement Officer. Ad to state that engineering
training /building and construction trade experience be required and salary
to $8,500.00. Town Clerk instructed to place said ad in the Ithaca Journal.
On motion, meeting adjourned to March 26, 1984 at 5:00 P.M.
