The Lansing Town Board met in Regular Session at the Lansing Town Hall on
February 14, 1984 at 8:00 P.M. with Supervisor Munson presiding.

Visitors: Deputy Clerk Wanda Brink, Ordinance Officer Norman Stanton.
Supervisor Munson called the meeting to order having the clerk take the
Roll Call.
Highway Superintendent, Howard Groat, gave a report on the activities of
his department. Mr. Groat also stated that he would like to purchase a used
roller and a. screening plant. Town Board Members expressed approval of adver-
tising for bids for the two mentioned items.
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Hilliard, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Stevens:
RESOLVED, that this meeting (8:32 P.M.) be recessed for the Town Board to
meet in Executive Session to discuss personnel matters. Carried
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Emmick, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Hilliard:
RESOLVED, that the Executive Session be terminated and the Regular Meeting
be reconvened (9:25 P.M.). Carried

RESOLVED, that the minutes as submitted by the clerk be approved.

RESOLVED, that the Town Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized and directed
to execute the Town of Lansing Park, Project 36 -0073 Agreement with the Commiss-
ioner of Parks and Recreation, State of New York, extending the Agreement period
from June 5, 1979 to June 30, 19840

The Town Board requested the Town Clerk to advertise for bids for a 1984 or
newer 12 passenger Window Van to be used by the Lansing Older Adults. Bids to
be opened at the March 13, 1984 Town Board Meeting.
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Emmick, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Hilliard:
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Lansing will hold a Public
Hearing on March 13, 1984 at 8:00 P.M. to consider a proposed Amendment to
Ordinance #5, dated August 95 1966, as amended, to provide for a partial tax
exemption for real property owned by persons with limited income who are 65
years of age or over. Carried
Councilman George Stevens reminded Board Members of the Tompkins County
Municipal Officer's Association Meeting to be held at the Holiday Inn on
February 22, 1984 at 7:00 P.M.
Letter received from Highway Supt. Howard Groat stating that he would
accept, as a Town Road, an additional three tenths of a mile of Fiddlers Green
Road, running westerly to an 80' turn around. Discussion by the board, no action
taken.

RESOLUTION offered by Mrs. McElwee, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Hilliard:
RESOLVED, that Jeannine Kirby is hereby appointed, effective immediately,
to fill the unexpired term of Robert Briggs as Member of the Lansing Planning
Board, said term expiring December 31, 1984. Unanimously carried
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Stevens, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Emmick:
RESOLVED, that $31,606.56 be expended from the Capital Reserve Fund for
Highway Equipment for the balance payment of the 1980 Badger 460 Hydroscopic
excavator.

Supervisor Munson reported on 1) Albany meeting concerning serious
water problems at South Lansing Center, 2) discussed meeting regarding
problems at Cayuga Crushed Stone and 3) plowing and sanding for Village
of Lansing.

AUDIT RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Emmick, who moved its adoption, seconded
by Mr. Stevens,:
RESOLVED, that General Fund bills #29 through #71 totalling $19,599.65
and Highway Fund bills #23 through #73 totalling $92,228.55 be and the same
are hereby approved for payment, and be it further.
RESOLVED, that Water District #2 bills be and the same are hereby
approved for payment.
