HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-12-12152 December 12, 1983 The Lansing Town Board and Lansing Planning Board met on December 12, 1983 to conduct a Public Hearing on Proposed Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Lansing. Said Hearing held at the Lansing Middle School at 8:00 P.M. ROLL CALL Philip Munson Supervisor Present Louis Emmick Councilman Present Bert Hilliard Councilman Present Margaret McElwee Councilwoman Present George Stevens Councilman Present Robert Williamson Town Attorney Present Jane Bush Horky Town Clerk Present Planning Board Members present: Viola Miller, Thomas Kick, William Cook, bulk regulations Loren Montague, Herbert Ley, Robert Briggs and Recording Secretary, Carolyn Montague. Approximately one hundred and ten Lansing Residents attended the Public Hearing. Proof of Notice having been furnished, Supervisor Munson introduced the Town Board Members. Planning Board Chairman, Viola Miller introduced the Planning Board Members and Planning /Research Consultant, Thomas Niederkorn. Brief statements were made by Supervisor Munson and Planning Board Chairman, Viola Miller. At the request of the Boards, Mr. Niederkorn was asked to make his presen- tation. Mr. Niederkorn stated that the Planning Board had been working on the Zoning Amendments for the past two years and explained the process of amending the Master Plan. He stated that the Zoning Ordinance consisted of a map and document. Mention was made of Route 13 without zoning. Mr. Niederkorn's presentation completed, a question and answer session followed. Questions and comments concerned regulations, building permit procedures and costs and spot zoning.
