Home My WebLink About1983-02-26120 February 26, 1983 The Lansing Town Board met in an Adjourned Meeting on February 26, 1983 at 9 :00 A.M. for the purpose of auditing the Town Officer's books for the year 1982 and to consider and act on any other business that may come before said board. ROLL CALL Philip Munson Supervisor Present Louis Emmick Councilman Present Bert Hilliard Councilman Absent Margaret McElwee Councilwoman Present George Stevens Councilman Present Howard Groat Highway Superintendent Present Jane Bush Horky Town Clerk Present Visitors: Deputy Clerk Wanda B. Brink, Park Superintendent Eric Trotter and Gerald Caward, Jr. Supervisor Munson called the meeting to order at 9:00 A.M. having the clerk take the Roll Call. Bids were publicly opened at 9:00 A.M. for one used 1979 or newer diesel tandem truck with cab and chassis, as advertised by Howard Groat, Highway Superintendent. One bid received as follows: Cayuga Leasing Inc., 1979 Ford Model LT9000 Tandem Axle Dump Truck Ithaca, New York in the amount of $24,500.00. Part Supt, Eric Trotter, Mr. Caward and the town board discussed in detail, the electrical problems at the Myers Town Park. Mr. Caward presented a proposal submitting specifications and estimates to furnish material and labor for the replacement and installation of necessary electrical equipment at the park. The proposal offered by Mr. Caward was studied by the board and the following resolution offered: RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Emmick who moved its adoption, seconded by Mrs. McElwee: RESOLVED, that the complete package of split metering at the Myers Town Park offered in the proposal submitted by Gerald Caward, Jr., be accepted, said total cost not to exceed $3,500.00. Carried Park Supt, Trotter, Highway Supt. Groat and the board members discussed the operation of the park. It was the consensus of the board members that Mr. Groat,should be in complete charge of the park employees with the exception of the waterfront employees. The 1982 audit of the Town Officer's books was conducted.
