TOWN OF LANSING NOTICE TO BIDDERS Town of Lansing Highway De- partment will receive sealed bids " at the Office of the Town Clerk, Lansing Town Hall, for one 1974or newer Tandem Truck with cab and chassis. Said bids will be opened at 1:00 p.m., July 20, 1982. Specifications may be obtained at the Office of the Town Highway Superintendent, Lansing, New York. Ithaca, New York July 20, 1982 One 1974 Ford Model LNT 8000 Tandem Truck with Cab and Chassis. $15,980.00 The Town Board met in an Adjourned Meeting on July 20, 1982 at the Lansing Town Hall at 8:00 P.M. for the purpose of a Joint Meeting with the Planning Board and to consider and act on any other business that may come before said board. ROLL CALL Philip Munson Supervisor Present Louis Emmick Councilman Present Bert Hilliard Councilman Present Margaret McElwee Councilwoman Present George Stevens Councilman Present Jane Bush Horky Town Clerk Present Visitors: Planning /Research Consultant, Thomas Niederkorn, Planning Board Members, Viola Miller, Sidney Cleveland, Thomas Kick, Robert Briggs, Linda Hirvonen, Loren Montague, Herbert Ley and Secretary Carolyn Montague. Zoning Board of Appeals Members, William Stuart and James Preston. Former Planning Board Member Fred Edmondson. Planning Board Member, Sidney Cleveland, advised those persons present that the final draft of the Proposed Zoning Ordinance for the Town of Lansing was being presented at this time for review and consideration by the Town Board. Mr. Cleveland spoke briefly of the background, the purpose and the intent of the Proposed Ordinance, after which time he introduced Planning and Research Consultant, Thomas Niederkorn, who has been working in coordin- ation with the Planning Board on the Proposed Zoning Ordinance. Mr. Niederkorn stated that the Proposed Zoning Ordinance is divided into seven land use control districts, said districts which constitutes the Proposed Ordinance are as follows: RA Rural - Agricultural R1 Residential - 1 and 2 Family R2 Residnetial - Multiple Family R3 Residential - Lake Upland LS Lakeshore C Commercial I Industrial The Land Use Control Districts, the General Provisions, the Schedule of Land Uses or Activities, the Supplementary Regulations, the Special Conditions and Special Permits, the Administration and the Appeals of the Proposed Zoning Ordinance were explained in detail by Mr. Niederkorn. (continued) 9 82 Continued July 20, 1982 Upon completion of his presentation, Mr. Niederkorn suggested that Town Board Members concentrate on 1) District Lines, 2) Schedule of Land Uses or Activi- ties and 3) Minimum lot size - density. The Town Board and Planning Board expressed their thinks to Mr. Niederkorn for his very thorough review of the Proposed Zoning Ordinance. The Planning Board requested that the Town Board continue their study and consideration of the Proposed Ordinance. Members of the Town Board reviewed and discussed the bid received for one 1974 or newer Tandem Truck with cab and chassis. Following Resolution offered. The Town.Board reviewed the Public Hearing just held on proposed Amendment to Ordinance #29 and the following resolution was offered: RESOLUTION offered by Mrs. McElwee, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Stevens: WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held on July 30, 1982 at 5:00 P.M. on a proposed Amendment to Ordinance #29, providing for a Partial Tax Exemption of Real Property owned by Certain Persons with limited income who are 65 years of age or older, increasing the limitation on income to $10,500, and WHEREAS, no one appeared being in objection, now therefore it be RESOLVED, that said Ordinance be amended accordingly.
