Brink, Deputy Highway Supt. Hazel Avery and Gary Argetsinger. The Supervisor called the meeting to order having the clerk take the Roll Call. RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Emmick, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mrs. McElwee: RESOLVED, that the Orear Subdivision Road be named "Sun Path." (continued) Carried 7 Continued June 8, 1982 RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Emmick, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mrs. McElwee: WHEREAS, Town Highway Superintendent Lloyd Sharpsteen has reviewed and corrected the Town of Lansing Highway Mileage which was previously reported as 80.27 miles, and WHEREAS, after corrections were made, the present total town highway mileage is 81.04 miles, now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Lansing accepts the total of 81.04 miles as the total Town Highway Mileage in the Town of Lansing. Unanimously Carried Members of the Town Board reviewed and discussed the bids received for one new 1982 Car and one new 1982 z Ton Pickup Truck. Following Resolution offered: RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Emmick, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Hilliard: WHEREAS, bids have been received for a new 1982 Car and /or a new Pickup Truck for the Highway Superintendent, and WHEREAS, Bill Zikakis Chevrolet, Inc. of Ithaca, N.Y. was the lowest responsible biddor meeting specifications for one new 1982 Pickup Truck in the amount of $8,381.70, now therefore be it RESOLVED, that this board hereby approves the purchase of said Pickup Truck from Bill Zikakis Chevrolet Inc., and rejects all bids for the Car, and be it further RESOLVED, that the Highway Superintendent shall complete the transaction on behalf of the Town. (Aye) Philip Munson, Supervisor A copy of the minutes of April 13, 20, 27, 30, May 11 and 25, 1982 having been furnished to the members of the town board beforehand the Super- visor asked for a motion to propose corrections or to accept same as submitted. RESOLUTION offered by Mrs.' McElwee, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Emmick: RESOLVED, that the minutes as submitted by the clerk be approved. Carried RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Emmick, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Hilliard: WHEREAS, the Town Highway Department has had problems heating the Highway Garage, and WHEREAS, on two occasions heaters have actually been on fire, now therefore be it RESOLVED, an emergency situation exists in heating the Highway Garage due to the over - heating of heaters creating a risk to the life and safety of the employees, as well as, a hazard to the Highway Garage, and be it further RESOLVED, that the bid previously awarded to William P. Fogarty Co., Inc. of Syracuse, N.Y. for a Co- Ray -Vac Infrared Heating System, on an emergency basis, for $21,580.00 is hereby approved and audited for payment, and be it further RESOLVED, that $21,580.00 be expended from the Repair Reserve Fund for said heating system. Supervisor Munson to contact Assemblyman H.S. MacNeil regarding the Chips Program. Letter received from the State of New York Division of Criminal Justice Services stating that a Driving While Intoxicated Workshop would be conducted Wednesday, June 16, 1982 at Ithaca College. Supervisor Munson reported that he had met with Representatives from New York State Electric & Gas and Environmental Conservation Department concerning the stock pile of fly ash owned by New York State Electric & Gas. Councilman Emmick stated there would be Public Informational Meetings held at the Lansing Middle School Auditorium on June 17th and 23rd, 1982 at 8:00 P.M. regarding the Town of Lansing's Wastewater Study. A meeting of the Town Board and Planning Board has been scheduled for July 20, 1982 at 8:00 P.M. Supervisor Munson presented his monthly report. AUDIT RESOLUTION offered by Mrs. McElwee, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Hilliard: RESOLVED, that General Fund bills #212 through #275 totalling $43,553.67 and Highway Fund bills #138 through #165 totalling $39,210.55 be and the same are hereby approved for payment, and be it further RESOLVED, that Water District #2 bills be and the same are hereby approved for payment. July 13, 1982 The Lansing Town Board met in Regular Session at the Lansing Town Hall on July 13, 1982 at 8:00 P.M. with Supervisor Munson presiding. Bid opening scheduled for July 20, 1982 at 1:00 P.M. Letter received and read from the Association of Towns regarding a combined training school for Town Clerks and Tax Collecting Officers to be held in Albany, New York on August 23 and 24, 1982.
