The Lansing Town Board met in an Adjourned Meeting on February 1T,.1981 for
the purpose of reviewing a preliminary proposal for South Lansing Town Water
System and act on any other business that may come before said board.

Lorne Montague.
Supervisor Munson called the meeting to order at 8:00 P.M. having the clerk
take the Roll Call.
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Stevens, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Emmick:
RESOLVED, upon recommendation of the Lansing Recreation Commission that
William Biata be appointed to fill the unexpired term of Robert Rivers, said
term expiring December 31, 1982, and be it further
RESOLVED, that Lori Avery French be appointed to a three year term, said
term expiring December 31, 19830 Carried
Supervisor Munson discussed with the board, a correction to be made regarding
the Morse Chain Building Permit previously issued. It was the consensus of the
board that the Supervisor be granted permission to adjust the Morse Chain Building
Permit,
Supervisor Munson announced that a Public Hearing would be held on March 9, 1981
at Howard Johnson's at 7:30 P.M. concerning the SEQR Studies in relation to the
Morse Chain Company expansion.
T.G. Miller, Engineer for the Lansing Water and Sewer Committee, presented
the preliminary proposal for the South Lansing Town Water System. The proposed
service area consists of approximately 7200 acres located between the Village of
Lansing on the south and the County Agricultural District on the north. The area
includes New York State School, South Lansing, Myers, Ludlowville, Sperry Lane
and Lakeview areas. The population to be served currently is estimated at
approximately 3000 persons and /or 900 to 1000 homes. The water supply is being
planned to be purchased from the Southern Cayuga Lake Intermunicipal Water
Commission which the Town of Lansing is a member. The water system, as proposed,
consists of 32.2 miles of 12" and smaller diameter water mains together with
hydrants for fire protections, valves, storage tanks and all necessary facilities.
The proposed project cost is currently estimated at $7,5009,000.00.
A lengthly discussion was held by Members of the Town Board, Members of the
Water and Sewer Committee and Engineer T.G. Miller.
It was the consensus of the town board that Chairman, Raymond McElwee, contact
Bernard P. Donegan, Inc., of Victor, N.Y. and request his fee for a financial study
of the proposed South Lansing Water System.
On motion, meeting adjourned toFebruary 21, 1981 at 9 A.M.

9:00 A.M. for the purpose of auditing the Town Officer's books for the year 1980
and to consider and act on any business that may come before said board.

The Supervisor called the meeting to order at 9:00 A.M. at which time the
1980 audit of the Town Officer's books was conducted.
