Continued November 14, 1978
RESOLUTION offered by Mrs. McElwee, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Stevens:
RESOLVED, that the Junk Yard Application of LaVerne and Mark McKane be
denied on the grounds that the said applicants did not furnish the following
information as requested by the town board: 1) an accurate map indicating the
specific location 2) the boundaries of the proposed junk yard site 3) the
neighboring parcels involved 4) additional information concerning size, streams,
fencing, entrances, protection assurances, number of vehicles and determination
date of junk yard.

RESOLUTION offered by Mrs. McElwee, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Stevens:
RESOLVED, upon recommendation of the Lansing Planning Board, that
Lorne Montague be. appointed to fill the unexpired term of-Lola Winter as
Member of the Lansing Planning Board, said term expiring December 31, 19800

Mrs. McElwee discussed the possibility of extending the Bolton Point
Water System, which now serves the Village of Lansing, to other areas of the
town. It was the consensus of the board that a- survey should be made by
local residents to determine the number of persons interested in receiving
water service from Bolton Point,
Supervisor Munson presented his monthly report.
AUDIT RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Naegely, who moved its adoption,
seconded by Mr. Stevens.
RESOLVED, that'General Fund bills #405 through #493 totalling $159237.14
and Highway Fund bills #256 through #289 totalling $360231913 be and the same
are hereby approved for payment, and be it further
RESOLVED, that Water District #2 .bills be and the same are hereby
approved for payment.

The Lansing Town Board held a Special Meeting on November 17., 1978 at
12 :30 P.M.!'Toor the purpose of amending and lowering the budgets and tax rates
of Special Assessments of Water District #1 and Sewer District #2, from
rates previously adopted November 8, 1978.

The Supervisor called the meeting to order at 12 :30 P.M. having the clerk
take`the Roll Call.

resolutions were offered:

FOR SPECIAL ASSESSMENT OF WATER DISTRICT #1

WHEREAS, the Tompkins County Division of Assessment filed an Assessment
Roll for the Town of Lansing Water District #1 on and before September 15, 1978,
and
WHEREAS, after proper notice a Public Hearing was held on November 8, 19789
and all persons desiring to be heard, having been heard and,no.one appearing
objecting to said Water District #1 Assessment Roll, now therefore be it

We, the undersigned Members of the Town Board of the Town of
Lansing, hereby waive notice of a Special Meeting to be held on
November 17, 1978 at 12:30 P.M. for the purpose of amending the
Water District #1 and Sewer District #2 budgets for the year 1979•

RESOLVED, that the Assessment Roll as prepared be filed for Lansing Water
District #band the same is hereby approved, affirmed and adopted pursuant to
Section 239 of the Town Law for the year 1979, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Lansing Water District #1 budget for the year 1979 in
the amount of $128,613.53 be and the same hereby is adopted and approved and
be it further
RESOLVED, that the formula used for the basis of extending the Assessment
Roll for Lansing Water District #1 for the year 1979 be:
Assessed Valuation Charge: $ .67 per $1,000 land and buildings.
Unit Charge: $27.58 per living unit or equivalent where water is considered
available, and the same is hereby affirmed and adopted by the
Town Board.

Roll for the Town of Lansing Sewer District #2 on and before September 15, 1978,
and
WHEREAS, after proper notice a Public Hearing was held on November 8, 19789
and all persons desiring to be heard, having been heard and no one appearing
objecting to said Sewer District #2 Assessment Roll, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Assessment Roll as prepared be filed for Lansing Sewer
District #2 and the same is hereby
approved, affirmed and adopted pursuant to
Section 239 of the Town Law for the
year 1979, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Lansing Sever District #2 budget for the year 1979
in the amount of $379967.91 be and
the same hereby is adopted and approved
and be it further
RESOLVED, that the formula used for the basis of extending the Assessment
Roll for Lansing Sever District #2
for the year 1979 be:
Assessed Valuation Charge: $
.28 per $1,000 land and buildings.
Unit Charge: $13.69 per unit
or equivalent where sewer is considered
available, and the same is hereby affirmed and adopted by
the Town Board.
