RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Naegely, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mrs. McElwee:
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Lansing will hold a Public Hear-
ing on September 26, 1978 at 8:00 P.M., on the proposed uses of the Federal Revenue
Sharing Funds the town anticipates receiving in 1979, in the amount of $39,588.00.
Proposed uses for Federal Revenue Sharing includes Parks Projects, Youth Projects,
Highway Equipment, Services for the Aged and Public Safety.

RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Hilliard, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Stevens:
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized to attend a,
Presentation - Question and Answer Session (N.Y.S. Division for Youth) to be
held on September 21, 1978 in Binghamton, N.Y., any necessary expenses to be a
town charge.

RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Stevens, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Hilliard:
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized and directed
to execute a contract for the outside drainage work for the Lansing Town Hall,
in an amount not to exceed $1,900.00. Carried

are hereby approved for payment, and be it further
RESOLVED, that Water District #2 bills be and the same are hereby approved
for payment.

The Lansing Town Board met in an Adjourned Meeting on September 26, 1978
at 8:00 P.M. to conduct a Public Hearing on Proposed uses of Federal Revenue
Sharing monies for the calendar year of 1979, and to act on any other business
that may come before said board.

Visitors: Tompkins County Board of Representatives Harris Dates and
Hugh MacNeil, County Administrator John Murphy, Fire Commissioner
Max Crozier, WTKO Reporter Andy Grossman and Gary Argetsinger.
The Supervisor called the meeting to order having the clerk take the Roll
Call.
Proof of Notice having been furnished, the Public Hearing on proposed
uses of Federal Revenue Sharing funds for the calendar year of 1979 was called
to order by the Supervisor at 8:00 P.M.
Supervisor Munson stated that proposed uses of Federal Revenue Sharing
monies included Park Projects, Youth Projects, Highway Equipment, Services
for Aged and Public Safety. The amount of Federal Revenue Sharing funds the
town anticipates receiving in 1979 is $39,588.00.
All persons desiring to be heard, having been heard, the Public Hearing
was terminated at 8:13 P.M.
County Representatives Harris Dates and Hugh MacNeil, and County
Administrator John Murphy appeared before the board to discuss and review
the county budget. Mr. MacNeil stated that the county would welcome any
input from the town in regard to the county budget.
Fire Commissioner Max Crozier reported on the building progress of the
new fire stations.
Gary Argetsinger and the Town Board Members discussed the water and
sewer plans for the proposed Lansing Retirement Home.
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Hilliard, who moved its adoption, seconded
by Mr. Stevens:
WHEREAS, the Highway Superintendent has duly advertised for bids for
one used Tandem Truck, and
WHEREAS, the University Sand & Gravel, Inc., was the only bidder with
a bid of $5,000.00, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the bid of University Sand & Gravel, Inc., for one used
Tandem Truck in the amount of $5,000.00 be and the same is hereby accepted
and the Highway Superintendent is authorized to complete the transaction on
behalf of the Town. Carried
John A. Huether, Lansing Park Patrolman, submitted letter of resignation,
effective September 1, 1978.

Notice of a Public Hearing received from the New York State Temporary
State Commission on the real property tax. The hearing concerns the undertaking
of a comprehensive study of the Real Property Tax System in New York State,
Said Hearing to be held October 19, 1978 at 7:30 P.M. at the State Office
Building, Binghamton, New York.
Notice received concerning a Conference on the "Future of the Finger
Lakes Region." Said Conference to be held at the Sheraton Inn, Canandaigua,
