The Lansing Town Board met in an Adjourned Meeting on June 21, 1977 to
conduct and act on--any business that may come before said board.

Visitors: Dr. Hersh, C.H. Murray, Arthur Wells, John Hartman, Wilbur Wilson,
Norman Stanton, Eric Trotter, Colleen Hilliard, John Moravec,
William Robinson and Bradley Griffin.
The Supervisor called the meeting to order at 8:00 P.M. having the clerk
take the Roll Call.
• The Supervisor introduced Dr. Hersh who appeared before the board to discuss
the possibility of opening an office for four half days a week to serve the res-
idents of the Town of Lansing. Mr. Murry brought the board up -to -date on the
progress being made to obtain a Doctor for Lansing. Dr. Hersh to meet with the
Lansing Doctor Committee to discuss his proposals in regard to himself and the town.
John Hartman presented Petitions to the board bearing two hundred sixty -two
signatures, opposing the removal of approximately 40 trees from the Myers Park.
Supervisor McDermott explained that the trees in question were located in the
dike area and not the park picnic area. A general discussion was held by Members
of the Town Board and persons present. John Moravec, Eric Trotter and Norman
Stanton, all Members of the Lansing Parks Commission, voiced disapproval of the
removal of any trees in the Myers Town Park. It was the general consensus of
the board to discontinue cutting any additional trees at the park until the
next board meeting of July 12th.
Supervisor McDermott stated that there was a County Meeting scheduled for
June 24th concerning the formation of a County -Wide Youth Program. Discussion
held by the board and William Robinson, Lansing Director of Recreation, to
consider if it would be advantageous for the town to join in the County -Wide

RESOLUTION offered by Mr. LaVigne, who moved its adoption, seconded
by Mr. Bush:
RESOLVED, that the Town of Lansing join the County Youth Bureau, providing
however, that the City of Ithaca Youth Bureau shall not be the controlling
administrative body and further provided that the controlling administrative
body be composed of voting members from each participating municipality, each
having an equal vote and further provided that the Town of Lansing will receive
no less than the 1977 rate of State Aid reimbursement for its program in the
future,

RESOLUTION offered by Mr. LaVigne, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Hilliard:
RESOLVED, that the hook -up charge for water services in the McKinney Water
District be established at $100.00 per hook -up.

RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Lansing authorized the drilling m
of a well or wells to provide a minimum flow of not less than 20 gallons per min-
ute, on town property known as the L.A.U. Field, at a total cost for drilling not
to exceed $1,000.00, said wells being intended to service the Lansing Home for
Older Adults.

RESOLUTION offered by Mr. LaVigne, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Bush:
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Lansing authorized the Lansing
Committee for Older Adults to obtain an Engineer for purposes of designing a
sceptic system for the proposed Lansing Older Adults Home, at a cost not to
exceed $1,000.00.

RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Bush, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr.

RESOLVED that it is the intent of the Lansing Town Board to develop and
improve the existing driveway along the easterly boundary of the L.A.U. Field,
for purposes of ingress and egress to the proposed lands lying to the south of
said L.A.U. Field on which the Lansing Older Adults Home is proposed to be con-
structed.

the south of the present L.A.U. Field, presently owned
by Viola Argetsinger,
for a purchase

of $15,000.00, the intended use of
said land is for
the proposed construction
for the Lansing Older Adults Home.

The board members held a discussion on proposed uses of Federal Revenue
monies. Following resolution offered.
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Lansing will hold a Public
Hearing on July 12, 1977 at 8:00 P.M., on proposed uses of Federal Revenue
Sharing monies. Proposed uses of said monies includes Services for the Aged
and Highway Capital Equipment.
