March 29, 1977
On March 29, 1977, beginning at 7:30 P.M., two Joint Public Hearing's
were held by the Town Board of the Town of Lansing and the Board of Trustees
of the Village of Lansing, at the University Room of Howard Johnson's Motel.
Said Public Hearing's concerned Petitions to ANNEX TERRITORY OF THE VILLAGE
OF LANSING TO THE TOWN OF LANSING.
Lansing Town Board Members present were: Supervisor Wesley McDermott,
Councilmen Louis Bush, Bert Hilliard, Edward LaVigne and Lee Naegely, and
Town Attorney Robert Williamson. `
April 5, 1977
Special Meeting called for the purpose of setting a time and date for a
Public Hearing on a Petition for Annexation.

RESOLUTION offered by Mr. LaVigne, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. McDermott:
RESOLVED, that the Lansing Town Board hold a Joint Public Hearing-.with
the Village Board of the Village of Lansing on the Petition to Annex Territory
of the Village of Lansing to the Town of Lansing on May 9, 1977 at 8:00 o'clock
in the evening on that day at the University Room of Howard Johnson's. Said
territory proposed for annexation located and is described as follows: "That
portion of E. Shore Drive formed by the northern boundary line between the
Village of Lansing and the Town of Lansing, going southerly along western
boundary line, then westerly along northern boundary line to Cayuga Lake, then
southerly along Cayuga Lake to its point where it connects to present Town of
Lansing line, then easterly to an intersection with State Route 34, northerly
parallel to State Route 34 to a point formed by the centerline of Burdick Hill
Road, easterly on Burdick Hill Road.to its point with the east boundary of
Parcel No. 42.1 -1 -50.1, north along this boundary line to the northeast corner
of said parcel, then easterly a distance of approximately 515 feet along the
north boundary of Parcel No. 42.1 -1 -50.24 and Parcel No. 42.1 -1- 50.21, then
northerly along present Town and Village line to its northern most intersection,"
and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk and Village Clerk prepare notice of hearing
to be advertised in the Ithaca Journal and mailed to residents and school
districts in area's where territory is proposed to be annexed.
