The Lansing Town Board met in an Adjourned Meeting on July 27, 1976 at 8:00 P.M.
as called.at the Regular Meeting of July 13, 1976. Said meeting scheduled to act
on proposed changes to the Land Subdivision Regulations for the Town of Lansing,
discuss and propose an Ordinance relating to Rules and Regulations covering the
Town Parks, and act on any other business that may come before said board.

Visitors: Planning Board Chairman Viola Miller, Water Supt, James Howell,
Bradley Griffin.
The Supervisor called the meeting to order having the clerk take the-Roll Call.
Letter received and read from Gerald R. Talandis concerning district benefit
taxes, specifully the water and sewer improvement taxes.
Letter received from Richard A. Desrochers, Field Representative for N.Y.S.
Division for Youth. Said letter concerned the question of the development of a
County -wide Youth Bureau. A meeting will be held on July 28th at 7:30 P.M. in the
Ithaca Youth Bureau offices. Lansing Youth Recreation Commission to send a represen-
tative and Supr. McDermott also plans to attend.
Due to severe losses during the heavy rain of July 11, 1976, Vaino Poysa,
Mrs. Glenn Norris, Carl Rautio and Eva Poysa submitted a written request for a
correction of material and design of the shoulder and ditch on the east side of
the Ithaca -South Lansing section of New York State Route 34.
The Southern Cayuga Lake Intermunicipal Water Commission forwarded a copy of
a Model Local Ordinance for Cross - Connection Control for the board members to
review and respond with comments and recommendations.,
The board discussed the Public Hearing on the proposed changes to the Land
Subdivision Regulations held on July 12, 19769 It was the general agreement of
the board that there be a cover page attached to the regulations setting forth the
towns intent with regard to Minor Subdivisions. Following resolution then offered:

hereby adopted.

Chairman of the Lansing Parks Commission, Bardley Griffin, presented a detailed
report of the Lansing Parks Commission to the Lansing Town Board. The Parks Comm-
ission recommended that the Town Board adopt an ordinance setting forth Rules and
Regulations for the Lansing Town Parks. A lengthy discussion was held on said
recommendation and the following resolution offered:
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Hilliard, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Bush:
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Lansing will hold a Public
Hearing on August 10, 1976 at 8:00 P.M. at the Lansing Town Hall to consider a
Proposed Ordinance setting Rules and Regulations for the Town Parks in the Town
of Lansing. Proposed Ordinance relates to curfew hours, speed limits within the
parks, littering, control of dogs and penalties for violating proposed ordinance.
Carried
Parks Commission Chairman, Bradley Griffin, served notice of his resignation
as Chairman of the Commission, inasmuch as the travel and irregular schedule of
his current job did not lend to his being available within the town. Mr. Griffin
also suggested that it would also be timely to appoint a regular member to the
commission to represent the viewpoint of boaters using town facilities.
