The Lansing Town Board held a Special Meeting on May 29, 1976 at 9 *00.A.M.
for the purpose of acting on matters concerning the Lansing Town Parks and
Water District #2.

The board discussed the recent vandalism at the Lansing Town Park.
-- The maintenance and operation of Water District #2 for the period from
June 1, 1976 through June 5, 1976 was discussed. Following resolutions
offered.
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Hilliard, who moved its adoption, seconded
by Mr. LaVigne.
WHEREAS, the Town.of Lansing owns and operates a Park System within
the town, and
WHEREAS, the Town has recently experienced extensive vandalism in said
parks, and,
WHEREAS, the Town is desirous of protecting town property within the
said parks, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, the position of a part -time town police officer in the non-
competitive class is hereby created for the purposes of enforcing all State
and Local Laws and Ordinances within the T own Park System, and it is hereby
further
RESOLVED, that the Lansing Parks Commission is authorized to interview
and hire an individual for this position, provided however, the payment for
the position hereby created shall not exceed $2,500.00 per year and the work
week shall not exceed 20 hours per week. Carried

Mr. Hilliard:

RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized to notify the
Southern Cayuga Lake Intermunicipal Water Commission that during the period
from June 1, 1976 through June 5, 1976, during the Lansing Water Superintendents
absence, that the Town of Lansing, on behalf of Water District #2, agrees to
reimburse the said Southern Cayuga Lake Intermunicipal Water Commission for any
and all time necessarily expended by SCLIWC employee, Alvin Parker, for daily
and routine maintenance and operation of Lansing Water District #2 during
said period.
