Board Chairman Viola Miller and three visitors.
Supervisor McDermott opened the meeting having the clerk take the Roll Call.
A copy of the minutes of September 9, 1975 meeting having been furnished to
the members of the town board beforehand, the Supervisor asked for a motion to
propose corrections of errors or to accept same as submitted.
MOTION offered by Mr. Hilliard, seconded by Mr. Bush that the minutes as
submitted by the clerk be approved.
Norman D. Stanton, Ordinance Officer, submitted his monthly report which
was read and reviewed by the board.
Louise Barr stated that she was not in favor of the light being proposed
for the Ludlowville Park.
Viola Miller inquired if there were any rules on the books that prohibited
high intensity lights, stating one located on N. Trlpphammer Road that she felt
dangerous.
Viola Miller stated that Lola Winters will be the Representative for the
Planning Board to act on the Bi- Centennial Town Committee.

Rev. Ralph Williamson appeared before the board on behalf of the Tompkins
County Office for the Aging. Mr. Williamson discussed the organizing, planning
and the coordination of services to the older persons of the county, requesting
the Town Board to appoint a representative to act on the County Advisory
Committee. Louis Bush, Councilman, was appointed to said Committee. Mr. Williamson
requested a Public Hearing be held with Groton, Dryden and Lansing to hear needs,
suggestions and criticisms, and those of the older people represented. Mr. Will-
iamson discussed a proposed Retirement Home in Lansing, requesting+a town board
member be appointed to the committee studying this project. Louis Bush appointed
to this committee, alternate to be named at a later date.
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Naegely, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Bush:
RESOLVED, that the Federal Revenue Sharing check received October 6, 1975
in the amount of $7,940.00 be allocated as follows: $2,647.00 for Capital
Equipment; $2,647 for Parks and Recreation; and $2,646.00 for Public Transporation.

RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Bush, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Naegely:
RESOLVED, that Ina Sutfin and Florence Townley be appointed Inspectors of
Election, terms terminating July 15, 1976. Carried
Brief discussion held on the proposed Bi- Centennial plans for Lansing and
other organizations.
19 RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Hilliard, whoomoved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Bush:
RESOLVED, that this T own Board does hereby rrepare and annrove as the
preliminary budget of this Town for the fiscal year beginning on the 1st day of
January 1976, the itemized statement of estimated revenues and expenditures
hereto attached and made a part of this resolution, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that such preliminary budget shall be filed in the office
of the Town Clerk where it shall be available for inspection by any interested
persons at all reasonable hours, and be it
FURTHER resolved, that this Board shall meet at 8:00 P.M. on the 5th day
of November, 1975, for the purpose of holding a public hearing upon such pre-
liminary budget, and be it

the manner provided in Section 108 of the Town Law, and that such notice be pub-

NOTICE OF HEARING UPON PRELIMINARY BUDGET
FOR TOWN OF LANSING FOR YEAR 1976
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the preliminary budget of the Town of Lansing,
Tompkins County, New York for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1976, has been
completed and'filed in the office of the Town Clerk of said Town at Lansing in
said Town, where it is available for inspection of any interested person at all
reasonable hours,
FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of said Town of Lansing will
meet and review said preliminary budget and hold a public hearing thereon at 8:00 P.M.
on the 5th day of November•1975, and that at such hearing any person may be heard
in favor of or against the preliminary budget as compiled or for or against any
item or items therein contained.
AND FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 108 of the Town Law,

District #2, Sewer District #1, Sewer District-#2 and Catherwood Light District
have been completed and have been filed with the Town Clerk, now therefore be it
