HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-06-14June 14, 1975 The Lansing Town Board met in an Adjourned Meeting on June 14, 1975 at 9 A.M. with Supervisor McDermott presiding. Said meeting having been scheduled to award the bid for the Lansing Park Food Concession and act on any other business that may come before said board. ROLL CALL Wesley McDermott Supervisor Present Louis Bush Councilman Absent Bert Hilliard Councilman Present Edward LaVigne Councilman Absent Lee Naegely Councilman -Present Jane Bush Horky Clerk Present Visitors: Bradley Griffin, Al Jackson of Challenge Industries, James Ludwigsen. Supervisor McDermott called the meeting to order at 9:00 A.M. having the clerk take the roll call. The bids for the park concession at the Lansing Town Park was discussed. ® Mr. Griffin discussed the condition of the concession stand and stated that it was the recommendation of the Park Commission to give the bid to Chall;ange Industries with the following conditions: 1) general clean -up, 2) Health Department permit secured, 3) operate on package food basis, 4) subject to periodic inspection and review by the Town. RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Hilliard, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Naegely: RESOLVED, that the recommendation of the Lansing Parks Commission be accepted, and the bid for the Lansing Park Food Concession be awarded to Challenge Industries for the amount of $75.00. Unanimously Carried. RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Naegely, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Hilliard: RESOLVED, that the Town Board endorse the movement of the Cayuga Mall drive on the Triphammer /Route 13 Interchange, approximately 50' to the south, in accordance with the prior release by the owners of the Cayuga Mall premises. Unanimously Carried. RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Naegely, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Hilliard: WHEREAS, the Village of Lansing has, by resolution #50 of the Village, indicated a desire that the town pursue the permanent financing of the Town Sewer District #1, Sewer District #2 and Water District #1 by sale of bonds to the Farmers' Home Administration, and WHEREAS, the said Village has also recommended the retention of knowledgeable consultants to facilitate the arrangement of said financing, now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town of Lansing make application to the Farmers' Home Administration for such financing and retain a consulting firm for the purpose of expediting such application in the event that it appears to be in the said districts best interest to retain such consultants.
