Present: Supervisor McDermott, Councilmen Louis Bush, Edward LaVigne, Town Justice's Frederick Spry and Floyd Ferris, Deputy Town Clerk Wanda Brink and County Representative Harris Dates. C -� March 11, 1975 The Lansing Town Board met in Regular Session at the Lansing Town Hall on March 11, 1975 at 8 P.M. with Supervisor McDermott presiding. ROLL CALL Wesley McDermott Supervisor Present Louis Bush Councilman Present Bert Hilliard Councilman Present Edward LaVigne Councilman Present Lee Naegely Councilman Present Lloyd Sharpsteen Highway Supt. Present Robert Williamson Town Attorney Present Jane Bush Horky Town Clerk Present Visitors: Water Supt. James Howell, Zoning Officer Norman Stanton, Planning Board Chairman Viola Miller, Parks Commission Chairman Brad Griffin, -and five Lansing residents. Supervisor Wesley McDermott opened the meeting having the clerk take the Roll Call. Proof of Notice having been furnished, the Public Hearing to consider an Amendment to the Ordinance entitled ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LANSING, COUNTY OF TOMPKINS, STATE OF NEW YORK, PROVIDING FOR A PARTIAL TAX EXEMPTION OF REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY CERTAIN PERSONS WITH LIMITED INCOME WHO ARE 65 YEARS OF AGE OR OVER, adopted on the 9th day of August 1966, and amended November 30, 1970, which amount will increase the exemption to $6,500.00 and conform the Ordinance to current State Law, was called to order by Supervisor McDermott at 8:00 P.M. No one appeared voicing any objection to the proposed Amendment as presented, and all persons desiring to be heard, having been heard, the Public Hearing was terminated at 8:15 P.M. A copy of the minutes of January 7th, 14th and February 6th meetings having been furnished to the members of the town board beforehand, the Supervisor asked for a motion to propose corrections of errors or to accept same as submitted. MOTION by Mr. Bush and seconded by Mr. LaVigne that the minutes as submitted by the clerk be approved. Carried Planning Board Chairman, Viola Miller, announced that there would be a meeting on March 20th at 8 P.M., sponsored by the New York State Electric & Gas Corp. and the Lansing Civic Association, concerning fly ash.and dumps.
