Home My WebLink About1974-12-03December 3, 1974 The Lansing Town Board met in an Adjourned Meeting at 8 P.M. with Supervisor Wesley McDermott presiding. Said meeting scheduled to hold a Public Hearing on proposed requested amendments to the Franchise Agreement between the Town of Lansing and Ceracche Television Corporation and consider and act on any other business that may come before said board. Wiggins, Atty., Anthony Ceracche, Rita Smidt, Louise Dart, Gary Craig and Ithaca Journal Reporter. • The Supervisor opened the meeting having the clerk take the Roll Call. Proof of Notice having been furnished, the Public Hearing to consider the requested amendments to the Franchise Agreement between the Town of Lansing and Ceracche Television Corporation, was called to order by Supervisor McDermott at 8:00 P.M. Attorney Walter Wiggins, on behalf of Ceracche Television Corporation, discussed the proposed requested amendments to the Franchise Agreement, said request being the proposed increase in the monthly service charge from $5.00 to $6.00 on the first installation and from a monthly service charge for each additional installation from $ .50 to $1.00. Mr. Wiggins reviewed the increased capital and operational expenses of the Ceracche Television Corporation during the course of the past three years and why it was essential that the requested rate be approved in order for the company to maintain television cable service of high quality in the programming and technical distribution of television signals'. No one appeared voicing any objection to the proposed increased increase in rates for cable television service. All persons desiring to be heard, having been heard, the Public Hearing was terminated at 8 :37 P.M. Supervisor McDermott read, for the board's consideration, a resolution in relation to the proposed increase and improvement of the facilities of Water District No. 1 and McKinney Water District. Discussion by the board and follow- ing resolution offered: The following resolution was offered by Mr. Hilliard, who moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Naegely, to-wit: A RESOLUTION MAKING CERTAIN DETERMINATIONS IN RELATION TO THE PROPOSED INCREASE AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE FACILITIES OF WATER DISTRICT NO. 1 AND McKINNEY WATER DISTRICT OF THE TOWN OF LANSING, TOMPKINS COUNTY,.NEW YORK. Said Resolution attached hereto and made a part thereof.
