HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-06-18June 18, 1974 The Lansing Town Board met in an Adjourned Meeting at 8:00 P.M. as called at the Regular Meeting of June 11, 1974. Said meeting to consider Pyramid Petition for Sewer District Formation, Wildman Road Abandonment and act on any other business that may come before.said board. ROLL CALL Wesley McDermott Supervisor Present Louis Bush Councilman Present Bert Hilliard Councilman Present Edward LaVigne Councilman Present Lee Naegely Councilman Present Robert Williamson Town Attorney Present Jane Bush Town Clerk Present Visitors: Water Supt. James Howell and nine Lansing residents. The Supervisor called the meeting to order having the clerk take the roll call. Letter received and read from Vincent P. Hannan, Asst. Supt. of Public Works from the City of Ithaca. Said letter regarding interim pump house at Jessup Road. Supervisor McDermott commented on the meeting he attended on June 12th with the Steering Committee for the siting of Cayuga Station. Councilman Naegely announced that there would be a meeting of the County Sewer Agency to be held at the Court House on June 27th at 3:30 P.M. The board discussed the matter of patrolling the town park. An executive meeting was scheduled for Thursday; June 20th at 5 P.M. for the board to discuss the matter further. The renting of the new docks at the town park was discussed. Following resolution offered: RESOLUTION offered by Mr. LaVigne: RESOLVED, to rent new docks, as completed, for the 1974 season for $100.00 without electricity or water. Seconded by Mr. Hilliard. Carried The petition which was submitted by M.P. Catherwood, Karl D. Butler and Mollie E. Butler to the Town Board June.11, 1974 and amended June 18, 19749 petitioning the Town Board to establish Lansing Sewer Dist. A, was reviewed by the board. A map and plan pertaining to said district was also submitted. Following action taken: ORDER OF TOWN BOARD SPECIFYING TIME AND PLACE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ESTABLISHMENT OF LANSING SEWER DISTRICT N0. 4. MOTION by Mr. Naegely and seconded by Mr. LaVigne, that a Public Hearing be held on July 10, 1974 at 8 P.M., in the Town Hall, Lansing, New,York, to consider said petition and to hear all persons interested in the subject thereof concerning the same and for such other action on the part of said Town Board with relation to said petition as may be required by law or proper in the premises. ON MOTION, meeting adjourned at 10:20 P.M. July 99 1974 The Lansing Town Board met in Regular Session at the Lansing Town Hall on July 9, 1974 at 8 P.M. with Supervisor McDermott presiding. A copy of the minutes of June 4th, 11th and 18th, 1974 meetings having been furnished to the members of the town board beforehand, the Supervisor asked for a motion to propose corrections of errors or to accept same as submitted. MOTION by Mr. Naegely and seconded by Mr. Bush that the minutes as submitted by the clerk be approved. Carried Letter received playground equipment North Lansing. Electric & Gas Corp. concerning fuel which may be burned at their electric generating stations.
