The Lansing Town. Board met in Special Session at 8:30 P.M. for the purpose
of considering action relating to highway lighting for the New York State proposed
construction of the Route 13 - N. Triphammer Road Interchange.

The Deputy Supervisor called the meeting to order having the clerk take the
Roll Call.
The board discussed in detail, the lighting system relating to the Rte. 13 -
N..Triphammer Road Interchange proposed to be constructed by the New York State
Department of Transportation. Mr. Gerard Messner from the New York State Electric
& Gas Corp., reviewed the costs to the Town of Lansing for materials and electric
current which they would be responsible for in order to complete the lighting
system and put into operation. Following resolution then offered:
RESOLUTION RELATING TO HIGHWAY LIGHTING
N. TRIPHAMMER ROAD INTERCHANGE ON STATE HIGHWAY 61 -18 - TOMPKINS COUNTY
WHEREAS, the State of New York, Department of Transportation, proposes the
construction of the N. Triphammer Road Interchange, State Highway 61 -18, Tompkins
County, and
WHEREAS, the State of New York will provide for the furnishing and placing
of the following items in connection with a street lighting system ontthe above
project
1. Underground duct system to include conduits, pull boxes, hand holes
and drainage pockets.
2. Ducts., pull boxes and anchor bolts on structures.
3. Foundation for light standards.
4. Light standards and bracket arms.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town of Lansing will provide for the
furnishing and installing of the necessary wiring, switches, ballasts, transformers,
luminaires and all other system components necessary to complete the lighting system
and put it into operation onLthe above project, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Town of Lansing will maintain the lighting system on the
above portions of the project including the repair and replacement of equipment
which may be damaged from any cause whatsoever and will furnish electric current
for the lighting system on the above portion of the project which shall be operated
during the customary night hours of each day of the year at no cost or obligation
to the State, and be it further
RESOLVED, that eight certified copies of this resolution be forwarded to
the Regional Director of the State of New York, Department of Transportation.
Moved by Bert Hilliard and seconded by Louis Bush - carried unanimously.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE ELECTRIC AND GAS
CORPORATION FOR LIGHTING THE STREETS OF THE TOWN OF LANSING.
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Bush.
RESOLVED that the written contract submitted by the New York State Electric
& Gas Corporation for lighting the streets and public places of the Town of
Lansing, dated August 8, 1973, be, and the same hereby is, approved, and that
the Deputy Supervisor and the Clerk of this Board be, and they hereby are,
authorized, empowered and directed to execute the same in the name and in behalf
of the Town of Lansing.
Seconded by Mr. Hilliard.
