The Supervisor called the meeting to order having the clerk take the Roll
Call.
The Supervisor stated that the appointment of a Zoning and Ordinance
Enforcement Officer would be considered at this time. D iscussion held by the
board, following resolution then offered.
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. LaVigne.
RESOLVED, that Stephen L. Farkas be appointed Zoning and Ordinance Enforce-
ment Officer for the Town of Lansing, effective immediately, said term to end
December 31, 1973. Salary for said officer to•be $500.00 from June 19, 1973 to
December 31, 1973, plus 10¢ per mile, it.being understood that he will provide
the town with a monthly report showing the total time spent on each case.

RESOLUTION offered by Mr. LaVigne.
RESOLVED, that the Hearing scheduled for May 8, 1973 by Order adopted on
March 28; 1973 concerning the Increase in Facilities - Lansing Water Dist. #1,
is hereby rescinded.
Seconded by Mr. Hilliard.

The board discussed in detail, the estimated cost for the proposed acquisition
and construction on behalf of Lansing Water District No.l, of additional facilities
therefor and appurtenances thereto, including acquisition of additional water lines,
water supply improvements, water tank owned by Cornell University and new line under
Route 13, including necessary acquisition of additional interests in rents through
easements under which a portion of said water mains are to be constructed and
acquired. Following discussion, Order for meeting to be held July 17, 1973 at
8:30 P.M. to Consider Increase In Facilities - Lansing Water District No. 1, was
Adopted by the Town Board. Said Order attached hereto and made a part thereof.
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Hilliard:
RESOLVED, that T.G. Miller, Engineer for the Town of Lansing is authorized
and directed to prepare plans and specifications forsthe following proposed
improvements in connection with the increase of facilities for Lansing Water Dist. #1:
A. Construct new interconnecting water main with Town of Ithaca /Cayuga Heights
water system located. near south line of Town of Lansing and running north
on Warren Road to Dart Drive, including meter pit, pressure reducer and
Route 13 crossing.
B. Acquire Cornell - County A irport Elevated Tank.
C. Acquire.Warren Road Water line from Industry Research Park.
D. Extend Water Line on Warren Road to new Industrial Park Site.
E. Acquire water line extension on Cedar Lane-'and new Stevenson Subdivision Road.

RESOLUTION offered.by Mr. LaVigne:
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and he hereby is directed and authorized to
execute a °'contract with the City of Ithaca, Department of Public Works, for the
purchase of water in accordance with.the Resolution adopted by the Board of Public
Works of the City of Ithaca, said supply to provide Lansing with up to 600,000 gal.
of water a day, and.be it further
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is authorized and directed to execute a contract
with the Village of Cayuga Heights and the Town of Ithaca, to provide for'the
transmission of water through the mains of said municipalities from the City of
Ithaca to the Town of Lansing. .
Seconded by Mr. Bush.

RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Lansing will hold a Public Hearing
to consider the Repeal of Local Law, #3 adopted July 9, 1971 and the amendment
thereto, being Local Law #1 of 1972, on the 17th day of. July 1973 at.8:00 P.M.
at the Town Hall, Town of Lansing.
Seconded by Mr. Hilliard.

RESOLVED, that the.-,:sum of $1,078'.p0 be expended from the Revenue Sharing money
received.from the Federal Goverment for Youth Recreation in the Town Parks, .
to wit: Life Saving Program.
Seconded by Mr. Bush. Carried
Supervisor Howell reported on the plan.submitted by C. Arno Finkeldey for a
trailer park on Myers Road. Mr. Naegely was requested to take over plan for further
study.

WHEREAS plans, maps, specifications and the estimated cost have been
submitted to the Town Board of the Town of Lansing for ',the acquisition and
construction on behalf of Lansing Water District No. 1, of additional fac-
ilities therefor and appurtenances thereto,.including acquisition of :;::r'°

For a more particular description of said water mains to be constructed
and acquired, for the easements to be acquired, and for the elevated tank
and other appurtenances to be acquired, reference is made to plans and
specifications made by Thomas G. Miller, Engineer, Ithaca, New York, and
WHEREAS the estimated cost of said acquisition and construction of
additional water mains, water tank and appurtenances, and the acquisition
of easements through which the water mains.shall pass, is not to exceed
$2554000.00, and
WHEREAS the said Town Board believes said increase in facilities will
be in the public interest, it is hereby
ORDERED that a meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Lansing will be
held on the 17th day of July, 1973, at 8:30 o'clock in the evening thereof,
in the Town Hall'of said town to consider any and hear all persons interested
in the subject thereof concerning the same and for such action by the Town
Board in relation to said project as may be required by law or proper in
the premises.
Moved by Edward LaVigne and seconded by Louis Bush carried unanimously.
