The Lansing Town Board held a Special Meeting on May 15, 1973 at
the purpose of considering any and all matters which will come before
8 P.M. for
said board,

Visitors: Water Supt. James Howell, Eng. T.G. Miller, Harris B. Dates,
L.J. Long, R. Davis Cutting, Atty Roger Sovocool, Robert Gibbs,
William E. DiStefano and Mrs. Viola Miller,
The Supervisor called the meeting to order at 8 P.M. having the clerk take
the Roll Call.
Mr.-L.J. Long, Director of the Tompkins. County Area Development, Inc.,
together with Harris B. Dates and R. Davis Cutting, Members of said Corporation,
.....,appeared before the board in regard to the Town of Lansing furnishing.,water and
sewer services to Morse Chain's new Warren Road plant. Review of all.the infor-
mation at hand was taken up by the board. Following resolutions then offered.
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Bush.
WHEREAS, Morse Chain is to occupy,a,.portion of the Industrial Site located in
Lansing Water District #1, and
WHEREAS, Morse Chain has informed the town it will require initially 100,000
gallons of.water per day for its operation, and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of Ithaca has informed the
town that it will provide "back -up" supply of water until the Bolton supply is
in use in order to provide the necessary 100,000 gallons per day required by
Morse Chain, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that based on the assurance of the Board of Public Works, as per
the resolution adopted by the Board on May 9, 1973 that it will "backup" the
Lansing Water System in the event of a shortage of water required by Morse Chain
pursuant to agreement to be prepared by the engineers of the respective munici-
palities, that this Board hereby states that it will furnish to the said company
the required 100,000 gallons per day and be it further
RESOLVED, that the owner and occupant.of said Industrial site shall be
subject to the rules, regulations, terms and conditions of Lansing Water District #16

RESOLUTION offered by Mr. LaVigne.
WHEREAS, the Town of Lansing on behalf of Lansing Sewer District #2, and
the Village of Cayuga Heights by agreement dated August 19, 1968 entered into

agreement for sewage disposal from Lansing Sewer District #2,,and
WHEREAS, the, Town has requested that Cayuga Heights take sewage from the
i Industrial Site to be occupied by Morse Chain, and
WHEREAS, Cayuga Heights will accept same on the following condition:
"That in the event the Village .lines, mains,.or system shall not be adequate
to carry the sewage from said parcel`;taken together with other sewage from
Lansing Sewer Dist. #2 in the opinion of the Village Engineer,,then the Town
shall construct at its own expense such lines, mains, either, within or with-
out the Village of Cayuga Heights to handle such.sewage," now therefore be it

Mr. William E. Di Stefano appeared before the board in regard to the application
for a sign permit for McDonald's Restaurant.
MOTION made by Mr. LaVigne to accept said sign application and moved that a
permit be issued for sign at McDonald's Restaurant.
MOTION lost due to the lack of a second.

Engineer T.G. Miller discussed with the board, his preliminary estimate of cost
of the,proposed water main interconnection between the Ithaca and Lansing.Water
systems to be located on Warren.Road to serve Lansing Water District #l, ,including
the new Morse..Chain Plant. His preliminary sketch plan showing said interconnection
was also reviewed.

The Supervisor opened the meeting at 8 P.M. having the clerk take the roll call.
The town board reviewed the Proposed Land Use CControl Ordinance, making their
final changes to said draft. The following resolution was then offered
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Naegely:
RESOLVED, that a Public Hearing.be.held by the Town Board of the Town of Lansing
on the proposed Zoning Ordinance, on the 4th day of June 1973 at 8:00 P.M. iri the
evening thereof, in the South Lansing Town Hall, South Lansing, New York.

sign for "Youth Colony" at the Cayuga Mall Shopping Center. Application.'reviewed �\
by the board. Following resolution offered:
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Naegely:
RESOLVED, that a permit be issued to Cayuga Signs Inc., Ithaca, New York to
erect a sign for Youth Colony located at the Cayuga Mail Shopping Center.'
