Continued September 12, 1972
Deputy Highway Supt, Stanley Reeves stated that the grader needed
to be replaced. Discussed the cleaning of ditches and rebuilding of
road shoulders. Trees have been removed from the Scofield Road and are
planning to remove stumps.
John Barney opened the discussion on zoning and boundary lines to
be determined. Following a lengthy discussion, a poll was taken by the
Town Board on the area they felt should be included for zoning study
and review, if majority of persons residing in proposed areas indicated
by a post card survey their wish to be included within zoning boundary.

RESOLVED, that General Fund bills #258 through #285 totalling 56

be and the same are hereby approved for payment, and be it further
RESOLVED, that Water District #1 and Water District #2 bills be
and the same are hereby approved for payment.

The Lansing Town Board held a Special Meeting on September 26th,
1972 for the purpose of considering the 1973 Lansing Highway Association
Contract and any other business that may come before said board.

The Supervisor opened the meeting having the clerk take the roll
The Board discussed in detail, the Lansing Highway Association
Contract for the year 1973• The Highway Association's request that
the town adopt the Non - Contributory Improved Twenty Year Career Plan
for retirement was discussed. The Board voted as follows on the question:
Should the Town adopt the Non- Contributory Improved Twenty Year
Career Plan offered by the N.Y.S. Retirement System?

The Board reaffirmed the request of vacation, being,
One year service = two weeks vacation, seven years service = three
weeks vacation, requesting however, that May lst to June 15th not be
used for vacation days.
Councilman Bush stated that Election District #2 located at the
North Lansing Grange Hall would have to be moved to the North Lansing
Fire Company following the November 1972 election inasmuch as the
Grange Hall was being vacated.

waive notice of a Special Meeting to be held September 26,
1972 at ,8 P.M. for the purpose of discussing the Lansing
Highway Association Contract for the year 1973 and any
other business that may come before'said board.

RESOLUTION offered by Mr. LaVigne:
RESOLVED that bills be paid to Robert A. Drake in the amount of
$403.00 and Lansing Highway Dept, in the amount of $1,757.60 for work
done on the recreation field adjacent to Town Hall.
Seconded by Mr. Naegely.

RESOLVED that the Town Board agrees to permit the Lansing Activi-
ties Unlimited to hold a dance at the Lansing Town Highway Barns during
the month of October.

RESOLVED that the application submitted by Mrs. Youngsook Kim
for a sign permit be approved as filed and the clerk issue said permit.

RESOLVED, that Kenneth Tarbell be retained by the town to main-
tain the house numbering, for the cost of $300.00 for the year 1973,
said amount to be paid in quarterly installments.

Highway Superintendent Lloyd Sharpsteen discussed and summarized
equipment as needed in the highway department:. one grader, one six
wheel dump truck, one cinder spreader, one tractor and mower, one
used truck, one cutter bar for tractor and three radios.

The Lansing Town Board held a Special Meeting at 8 P.M. for the
purpose of presenting the 1973 tentative budget to the Town Board,

The Supervisor called the meeting to�order at 8 P.M. having the
clerk take the roll call.
Supervisor Howell announced to the board that the budget for
the next ensuing year must be completed at this time. Considerable
budget study was made and figures compiled. Following the completion
of the preliminary budget it was ready for adoption and the date of
the hearing set thereon. The tax rates were not calculated at this
time in view of the fact that the Federal Revenue Sharing funds have_
not been distributed or estimated to the town.
RESOLUTION offered by Mt. LaVigne:
RESOLVED, that this Town Board does hereby prepare and approve as
the preliminary budget of this Town for the fiscal year beginning on
the 1st day of January 1973, the itemized statement of estimated
revenues and expenditures hereto attached and made a part of this
resolution, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that such preliminary budget shall be filed in
the office of.the Town Clerk where it shall be available for inspection
by any interested persons at all reasonable hours, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Board shall meet at 8:00 P.M. on the
9th day of November 1972, for the purpose of holding a public hearing
upon such preliminary budget, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk give notice of such public
hearing in the manner provided in Section 108 of the Town Law, and
that such notice be published and posted in substantially the following
form:
