The Supervisor advised the board, after proof of notice having been furnished, that sealed bids would now be publicly opened for the food concession at the Lansing Town Park. Kaye was the highest bidder with a bid in the amount of $361.00, now therefore be it RESOLVED, that said bid of Paul J. Kaye, be and the same is hereby accepted. Seconded by Mr. LaVigne. MOTION by Mr. Bush and seconded by Mr. Naegely that the minutes as submitted by the Town. Clerk be approved. Carried Discussion by the board on Application for Sign submitted by Clarence A. Green, Jr., Sec. & Treas. of Grandma's Place, Inc.. RESOLUTION offered by Mr. LaVigne: RESOLVED, that a sign permit be issued to Grandma's Place, Inc., to`erect a sign on N. Triphammer Rd., adjacent to Esso Gas Station on the corner of N. Triphammer Rd. and'Peruville Rd., it being understood that said sign will be turned off at the close of each business day. Carried (Continued) • 1 • Continued April 11, 1972 2o RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Bush: WHEREAS, the clerk has duly advertised for bids for the purchase of one voting machine, and WHEREAS, the Automatic Voting Machine Division of Jamestown, N.Y. was the only bidder with a bid of $1,960.00 less an allowance of $50.00 on one obsolete machine to be traded in by the Town, now therefore be it RESOLVED, that said bid of the Automatic Voting Machine Division, be and .the same is hereby accepted. Following review of said application, Mr. Naegely made motion to table issuing permit until additional information was submitted. Letter read from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation in` regard to issuance of party permits for the taking of deer in the Town of Lansing during the 1972 season. Proof of Notice having been furnished, the Public Hearing on the Order for meeting to consider increase of facilities in Lansing Water District No. 1 was called to order by Supervisor Howell at 8 :30 P.M. The plans, maps, specifications and costs in regard to the proposed acquisition of said water mains and appurtenances were discussed. The line has been installed, tested and approved by Water Superintendent James Howell. All persons desiring to be heard, having been heard, the Public Hearing was terminated at 9 P.M. The Board discussed the Public Hearing just held. It was the opinion of the Board to delay action until the easement was completed. RESOLUTION offered by Mr. LaVigne WHEREAS, the clerk has duly advertised for bids for the purchase of one 1972 Model Van Type Truck for Lansing Water Districts, and WHEREAS, Cayuga Motors Sales Corp., N. Triphammer Rd., Ithaca, N.Y. was the only bidder with a bid of $3,574.99, less an allowance of $887.99 for 1967 Van, now therefore be it RESOLVED, that said bid of Cayuga Motors Sales Corp., be and the same is hereby accepted. Seconded by Mr. Bush. Ethyl Selden, Lansing Representative on the Tompkins Co. Environ- mental Management Council, requested the Town to plant a tree for Arbor Day. RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Bush; RESOLVED, that the 5th District Polling Place be changed from the Tompkins County Trust Co., Triphammer Branch, to Lansing Fire Station #5 on Oakcrest Road. The County has proposed that they will exchange with the Town,,Crooked Hill Road, a County Road, for Brickyard Hill Road, a Town Road, The County has agreed to level the hump on Crooked Hill road, adjacent to the school before the transfer of roads is made. RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Bush: RESOLVED that the Town accept the County offer to exchange Crooked Hill Road for Brickyard Hill Road, and be it further RESOLVED, that Crooked Hill Road will remain closed until necessary repairs are made. Crossing in Myers and right -of -way pertaining to said crossing, Attorney Williamson and the Town Board discussed in detail a resolution consolidating serial bonds for the purpose of sale into one-bond issue aggregating $1,240,000.00. Serial bonds concerning Highway Garage, Water Dist. #1, Water Dist. #2 and Sewer Dist. $1. Following discussion, RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE CONSOLIDATION INTO ONE ISSUE OF SERIAL BONDS OF THE TOWN OF LANSING, TOMPKINS COUNTY, NEW YORK, AGGREGATING $1,240,000.00 HERETOFORE SEPARATELY AUTHORIZED BY SAID TOWN FOR VARIOUS TOWN PURPOSES was offered by Mr. LaVigne and seconded by Mr. Bush. Said Resolution attached hereto and made a part thereof. Supervisor presented his monthly report and discussed. AUDIT RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Hilliard: RESOLVED, that General Fund bills #72 through #94 totalling $5,707.36 and Highway Fund bills #58 through #85 totalling $14,503.31 • be and the same are hereby approved for payment, and be it further RESOLVED, that Water District #1 and Water District #2 bills be r and the same are hereby approved for payment.
